Am I crazy for thinking of benching Ray Rice this week?

    I originally had:

    Romo
    Rice, Greene, Beanie
    Mike Wallace, Dez Bryant

    Now I'm thinking of going:

    Sanchez
    Greene, Beanie, Ingram
Mike Wallace, Dez Bryant (should I start AJ Green? Also have Sidney Rice)

These matchups scare me. I don't think Romo is doing shit against our D, and Dez may follow suit depending on who he's matched up with. Austin seems like more of the deep threat so I could see Cro covering Miles and Revis on Dez. Ray Rice has put up an average of 30 rushing yards the last 3 times he's played Pittsburgh.

personally I think its insane to start a rookie in fantasy in his first ever game. But thats just my philosophy.

(NOTE: i get .2 points per rushing attempt and .5 per reception)

    pick 1 of these 3

    Braylon Edwards
    Davone Bess
    Johnny Knox

    Also....

Felix jones (i have a feeling he won't do much) or one of these guys:

    Pierre Thomas/Ryan Grant/CJ spiller/Steve smith (panthers)

you're crazy to pick ingram over rice. he won't see much time in the beginning. pierre thomas and sproles will get a majority of the work in teh beginning. pittsburgh or not, he might at least have 1 TD and probably a few receptions. in a PPR league it's a no brainer, and in a regular league it's still an easy decision

    fyi beanie fuckin blows.

    manningham.

i got him super late round in my league last year and even though he was a #3 receiver for 90% of the season, he still put up a good amount of points. he'll only get better this year and washington's corners still blow.

I'm not sold on Best being 100% recovered from turf toe. that really slowed him down last year. without the injury he's a stud, with it he's garbage.

The Ingram thing I could understand but... Beanie blows? The guy is the clear cut #1 RB on an improving Cardinals team. Wait..

Ok, after reading this I realized you're not good at Fantasy Football. Fucking Mario Manningham over Jahvid Best? C'mon man

have Brandon Marshall and percy harvin on my bench

    have Tone as my wr2
and bradshaw vs wash as my flex

Of course yahoo says start marshall over both of them, my thought was see him have a good game first, and I think Tone vs Dallas is a safe pick

    any thoughts>

"Fucking mario manningham" against a shitty skins secondary. Mario Manningham is the clear #2 now.

I had manningham last year. the guy had 9 tds, 1000 yards and 60 catches...AS A #3 RECEIVER. He was a great flex play back then.

Jahvid Best is gonna split carries with Harrison or Keiland Williams. They don't want to wear him out, and he hasn't shown that he's as explosive as he was in the first 4 weeks. Detroit is a pass first team anyways

i'll be happy to check with you on monday about your prediction

(fyi i also had beanie and he was the only bad draft pick i had. he was fuckin awful even when he came back healthy. he couldn't even beat howlings and hightower for the job).

We'll see what happens on Sunday. Manningham may have a good game but there is no way I play a #2 receiver on a struggling/injured team over the clear #1 RB on an explosive offense.

their defense is injured so that fact is almost entirely irrelevant. Their offense is healthy. it's also a PPR league, which factored into the decision

best averaged a whopping 3.2 yards a carry last year. he had a concussion preseason and double turf toe. harrison had a nice little preseason.

you'll see what i mean. then we'll see "who's not good at fantasy football"

hightower. He is going to get a lot of touches in wash this year. Sproles will lose touches on offense to Thomas and eventually ingram. If you are getting points for return yards, that might make it a tougher decision...

you know turf toe can end people's careers right? For people that need to cut and accelerate, it's a huge issue.

    it's generally an ongoing problem.

by your statement, you clearly don't know that.

You're making way too big a deal out of turf toe. It's not like he's recovering from a torn ACL/MCL

You really have no idea what you're talking about. So the next time you call some out on their knowledge or perceived lack of, evaluate what you know first.
It's safe to say you zero medical knowledge or concept of sports injuries, especially by that last sentence.

Want to know who's career were ended by turf toe?

    - Deion sanders, Jonathon Ogden, Willie parker, jack lambert just to name a few. Kevin Jones I believe also. if i search around i'm sure that list will be much longer

Brandon jackson was just ruled out for the entire season because of turf toe.

and to say "it's not like recovering from an ACL/MCL injury". In a way, you're right. But not in the manner you intended. It's because one tends to be a lingering issue(turf toe) and the other is fixed via surgical graft. With modern medicine, an ACL surgery is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things and if they use a specific graft, the ACL becomes stronger than it originally was to begin with. The only issue when it comes to sports is that the rehab time is lengthy because the graft needs to take, so therefore it takes awhile.
