You can't win in the NFL with Andre Caldwell as your #1 receiver. The only receiving options that team has is a promising young tight end and a slot receiver. They have absolutely no one that can stretch the field. There's a reason why Carson Palmer doesn't want to play for them anymore. It's because they lack talent on offense. Antwan Odom is coming back. Robert Geathers is a solid player. Carlos Dunlap is only going to get better. Mike Johnson may actually have a defined role in 2011. I'll take those pass rushers and AJ Green any day of the week.
Quinn to the Niners would probably end up being a major steal. That picture is hilarious by the way - the ball carrier's face is classic.
There pass rushing is just terrible and they did switch back to it temporarily last year in a few games I believe. Will see how it all turns out but its a definite possibility. Would be interesting if maybe a scenario like Bowers falling to them at #3 and getting instant pass rush. All I know is they need a change on D.
E, you're naming a bunch of players but those guys aren't any good, none of them are a reason to pass on an elite DE prospect when you rank near the bottom of the league in sacks and hurries as the Bengals do. I don't know if you saw the edit, but I made a mistake, they weren't 28th in sacks last year, they were 29th Now I would agree with you if I thought AJ Green was Calvin or Andre Johnson, but I don't think he is that level of prospect and that's the only WR I pass on Bowers for if my team can't get after the Quarterback. I rather draft the impact end at the top of the board and load up on WR's later. BTW last year they had Owens and Ocho all year and Owens had a huge season, but they still stunk because they cannot pressure the other teams QB and you can't win in that way in the NFL
AWESOME PICK, CANE!! That was the other guy I was debating when I took Bowers, and I'm still not sure I made the right choice. Quinn is an absolute terror off the edge.
I guess Carlos Dunlap needs more than 10 sacks to be considered "any good" ... Give me a break, man. I don't really know how to say this without being a dick, but your opinion matters less to me now because of this statement. That's the Jets' fan in you speaking and that's where you've failed with the Bengals pick. It's become clear to me that your knowledge of the ENTIRE league is rather limited.
Jabba, Mr. E, no one cares about your argument. All people are thinking about right now is how I got the best player in the draft at #3, and the man who would have been the best player in the draft if not for a suspension at #7. To my fans, you're welcome for my awesome.
Ryan Mathews is the equivalent of three gods. Ray Allen is a fag for two reasons: He went to UCONN and he plays for a Boston team. (However, he was the shit when he played for the Supersonics)
I only say that because I've been watching him for 19 years.....agreed on the Boston part but he was a god before that because of UConn.
