Ellis played great at the end of the season and playoffs for us last year.. Especially against the Pats in the divisional round.. I hope he decides to stay with us for 1 more year, we could use old boy...
Plus Marcus Dixon (Kenrick Ellis' mentor) and Jarron Gilbert who appears to be Rex's personal pet project. Hopefully the Jets will still be able to find room for him, though.
He won't go to the pats unless the jets tell him they don't want him. He isn't just gonna jump ship like that.
I think Harris may be able to keep up with Gronkowski (Harris has a 4.59 40 time), but I don't think Lowery or Wilson are really viable options. Both may be too small physically to defend/tackle a TE that size, and if the Pats run the ball, then they're sure to get blown up by him. It's Harris, Scott, or Thomas on the TE.

Nnamdi-to-Jets looking better July, 28, 2011 Jul 288:17PM ETEmailPrintComments2By Rich CiminiThe Texans are out of the Nnamdi Asomugha sweepstakes. As reported by ESPN Insider Adam Schefter, the Texans agreed to a five-year contract with former Bengals CB Johnathan Joseph. That leaves Jets vs. 49ers for Asomugha's services, and the feeling close to the Jets is that they have an excellent chance. There could be a decision by the end of the night.
this could be a turning point in our dreams to get to the big dance people i almost taste the sweetness
None of them can keep up with a tight end - never have and never will. Jets will have to play the way they did against N.E. in playoff game - don't let them tight ends off the line - hit em every time. One on one on the outside. The key might be our saftey play.
