This. I'm content going with Revis and Wilson as our 1 & 2. Rather have Cro but being a first rounder Wilson deserves his shot starting opposite DR. This means if we get P Buc he'd be playing the nickle back and after watching Drew Coleman last year I'd say that DC and P Buc are equal talents......Now if this was 2 or 3 seasons ago......
I think it's important they have some type of veteran next to Revis for another season. if Wilson is the #2 teams are going to throw at him 15 times a game. Since he has basically missed the important off season between year 1 and 2, we have no idea if he's ready for that.
Dan Snyder will throw money around but would you want to be part of an organization that has sucked since he took over, will have Josh Beck and QB, and last year seemed like the one place you would never want to go play with all the drama? Big shift from playing in NY under Rex.
Agreed--having to play across from Revis is one of the hardest assignments for a cornerback. You make a very good point about Wilson missing an offseason that would've helped him develop into a player that can do that. I'm not saying that Wilson can't hold his own as a #2 corner, I'm just saying that we can't bank our season on the hope that he can.
I dont get why people cant comprehend this. Signing a big named cb isntfor a season ts for 3-4 makig our draft pick of wilson for nothing
Of course he does it the years we play them (like when they signed Coles, Thomas, Hall and Chad Morton in the offseason then played us Opening Night), specifically to help beat our team
Not sure if this is up yet... You know what I'm grateful for? I'm grateful Laveranues Coles got to spend some time in the same locker room as these guys. Maybe they've got his number. Maybe they call him up and ask him how awesome it was to get big money in Washington. Maybe.
Didn't see this anywhere found it on the Bay area NBC site: http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/spor...o-Take-Less-to-Play-for-Winner-126196653.html
Nah, Chad was made by Westhoff. leon has proven he's a great return man even w/o Westhoff and leon was a valuable player on O for us something Morton never was. Morton basically lived off those 2 KRs vs. Buffalo.
That's a euphemism. He's not looking at houses. BTW, I trust Harold Camping's reports more than I trust Mort's reports.
A KOR unit has never been as good as its been since Westhoff has been here. Leon benefited from playing under Westhoff just as much as anyone else did. Morton was never the same after his knee injury. Here's my post on Westhoff awhile back:
I think his point was that Leon has gone on to be an effective special teamer elsewhere, whereas Morton did jackshit without Westhoff's system, making that comparison unfair. Leon Washington is still a threat on special teams in Seattle.
AdamSchefter Santana Moss reaches agreement with Washington on a 3-yr deal for $15 million with $5 million signing bonus and $6 million guaranteed. 1 minute ago Wonder if Holmes and/or Edwards had anything to do with this
