I am getting the feeling it will be one of those deals where we sign him and then he either retires before the seasn or we let him go. I hope I am wrong and he can still play but we'll see.

    Here is my question
If the Jets lock up Harris quickly to a long term contract can they then franchise Holmes?

if we're up against a cap number I think it would be likely that we would try an economical option like Westerman over bringing in a FA.

Yes! And after we sign Holmes we can franchise Edwards! And after we sign Edwards we can franchise Crormartie! Then we will have them all! C'mon Tanny, franchise these beasts!

This is where Mr. T will come in handy.

The Jets need to restructure necessary contracts by tomorrow.

Sidney Rice will demand almost as much cash as Holmes. He's also coming off a pretty big injury.

A lot younger? Holmes is only two years older than Rice.

Are you kidding? Telling every madden GM how utterly retarded they are will be a welcome change from the circle jerk that tgg had become during the lockout.

while there are a ton of people who want aso on the jets, you also sound like this as the exact opposite

'ohhh my gawd, if the jets sign asomugha it's over! the jets will be an awful team! OMGz! the future is ruined! mike T and rex are idiots! how will we ever be good with potentially the greatest secondary ever? how will we ever find a good WR? OMGZ!!'

I doubt you will find one jets fan who wouldn't want aso and Revis paired up. Those of us dismissing the idea believe that aso would be an unnecessary luxury that would cause the jets to be weak at other positions because of the restrictions having two of the highest paid corners create.

You won't see any complaining from anyone if they can get aso without neglecting the rest of the team. Pretty unlikely to me but I don't completely rule out anything when it comes to Tanny.
