Andre Johnson only wishes he had the heart, grit, and effort of Scotty McKnight. It's remarkable. In terms of those three, McKnight is in a class with players like Austin Collie, Wes Welker, Brandon Stokley, Danny Amendola, Joe Jurevicius, Wayne Chrebet, and Ricky Proehl. Ed McCaffrey is close, but the other guys mentioned all out-short him.

    No.

Scotty is on the PS. He will stay on the PS. He's not taking Mason's place. Please think before you post.

Also, I hope you have a nice day and feel welcome here, good sir.

You seem to make it sound like Scotty was going to beam me up on the roster.

    Gotcha

I thought Jones looked real good in that last game. Strength, speed, and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Good guy to have around to groom for the future.

^ He's a special teams player. Always has been, always will be.

Nothing wrong with that though...he's got a future there.

Is he being added to the practice squad or the active roster?

Has anybody heard anything about an OL replacement for Turner yet since he's been put on IR? Are we even going that route?

The Jets have signed DE/OLB Eddie Jones to the practice squad, a source confirms. #nyj

That means he's probably taking Josh Baker's spot.

Looked pretty good to me on defense. Granted it was against scrubs, but there was certainly talent there.

    Sign this beast!

Seriously though, sign him and stick him next to Hunter the entire game. He is the definition of "Jumbo TE"...

Loved him out in SD a few years ago, Mulligan is a bum and finally the Jets realize. I'm glad we are making moves to upgrade at blocking TE.

This kind of signing shoulda happened before the season started.

I just hope he doesn't roll in at 3 bills and fails the physical/conditioning test. I mean, he was already around that weight regardless, but he's been out of a job for a bit.

Doesn't really matter with him anyway, it's not like he'll be going more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage...

^ If Manu is 300 plus pounds, he's still an upgrade over Mulligan's sorry ass.

He was 295 I believe in Chicago so I wouldn't doubt him being about 300 coming in but I think he could get back to his 295 weight, the only problem would be his conditioning but he is a solid run blocker and decent against the pass. He will be a nice #2 TE. And an upgrade over Mulligan.
