From Rotoworld, Bengals released OG Max Jean-Gilles. Jean-Gilles' was never expected to compete for a starting role when he was signed in early August. The 27-year-old guard started 25 games for the Eagles over the past three seasons, and should be able to find the reserve role he wasn't able to nail-down in Cincinnati somewhere else.
those are some interesting names... igor olshansky (granted we actually have DL depth for once, but I wouldnt mind putting him in Teveseau's slot. Mardy Gilyard, drafted not that long ago to be a big time playmaker for Bradford. There wr corps is terrible, so if he cant stick there i dunno that he has any shot as an NFL WR. and Seyi Ajirotutu is a guy lots of us had faith could become a WR in the NFL not just a st guy. Looks like he isnt there yet, and with the Chargers having too many WR, they need a guy on teams. Which Seyi probably never will be. PS would be great for the guy, definately a better talent than Campbell, or even Payne for that matter.
Aji did well last year as San Diego's fifth option. 20.2 per catch He'd be an upgrade over Payne and Turner. A WR needy team will most likely claim him and he'll get lots of reps in 2011.
Veteran punter anyone...? Lions released P Nick Harris. The Lions punter since 2003, Harris was beat out by undrafted rookie Ryan Donahue. Although Harris was set to make $1.4 million this season, the Detroit Free Press reports the decision was based on performance, not salary. Harris should get a call once someone's punter goes down this season. Related: Ryan Donahue Source: Detroit Free Pres <-- the face of a winner... Who cares... Westy will find someone who's up for the job... I want Seyi in green & white... (although he's going to be claimed by some team before he makjes it to us).
This have any credibility? Says Donald Brown may be cut.....and all-pro DE Jerry Hughes. http://www.stampedeblue.com/2011/9/...edly-will-cut-ricardo-mathews-donald#comments
Dwight Lowery, Kyle Wilson, Marquice Cole, Emanuel Cook, and Joe McKnight Logan Payne isn't going to play until mid-season. ...so why not just move on?
Judging from the tweets it's seems like he'll make the 53 man roster... but be the first one to get cut in case we're interested in someone out there. And since with so many players getting cut it's almost certain we'll be interested in someone I think Payne won't be on the roster for long. Weìll prob keep him on the PS or on IR though... PS Wonder if we take a look at Tate in case the Pats release him.
I heard that rumor the other day and I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in. The guy's got major speed. He'd be a solid option as a fifth receiver.
We're agreeing on a bit too many things... go die in a fire! Adam Terry got cut... played in Baltimore when Rex was there and was a 2nd rd pick... wonder what his opinion on the guy is... http://www.nfl.com/player/adamterry/2506403/profile Rick Maese caplannfl The Redskins are releasing QB Kellen Clemens The return of Clemens?
I would think Tully would have a backup role for sure (at least at the outset). It would be a great depth move though, imo.
Is it just me, or does it seem like he only knows how to play football when he plays for the Pats? At any other team, I don't think he's been anywhere near as impressive.
