Thanks, man. Tatupu is available now, but Seattle, if I recall correctly is a 4-3 team, right? Would Tatupu be a good signing for us?
He is a very good player but he is strictly an inside linebacker. He would not fit on the Jets defense.
TheJetsStream I've been told that the #Jets have reached out to free agent defensive end Shaun Ellis and expressed interest to bringing him back. #nyj
About damn time. That means we must be close on the Cromartie deal if we're bringing back Ellis right now. Or that's what I hope. lol
That's a scary proposition. He's even more stationary than Favre at this stage. I hope McElroy is a quick learner. I know they want a veteran back up but not someone that is completely immobile.
The uncertainty around Cromartie is very tough to stomach. He's a high priority in my mind, and the alternatives are a big drop-off. I'd badly like to see him back aboard. My fingers are crossed.
If we don't get Cromartie back, this season is going to be interesting. We don't have a lot of secondary depth, and quite frankly it might put us in the shitty position of having to trade for a CB. I mean I wouldn't mind getting Asante Samuels, but you know the Eagles are going to want way too much for him.
