Unless the Jets start handing out future draft picks in trades I dont see anything on the FA market that would be an improvement over what we had last year at wr or cb
But those two teams have established qb's. Not trying to say I don't have faith in Sanchez, but when teams have great qb's they can get away with lack of talent in other positions.
To be fair, the Steelers (and arguably the Packers) had better WRs, and the Packers had (slightly) better CBs...but I get your point.
i swear some of you act like we went 6-10 last year. we went to the damn AFCCG. if we bring pretty much the same key guys back I see no problem with that.
right... and both have front 7's/pass rushes that were significantly better, still had excellent secondaries, and both had top QBs call me when we sign james harrison, polamlu, charles woodson, cullen jenkins, aaron rodgers and company
It's arguable but I think Kenny is correct. I think the Jets had more talent than either of the Steelers for sure at the WR/CB position. Jets vs GB WR it is difficult to tell because AR is such a damn good QB, but I wouldn't argue against saying theirs is better. (negating injury) However, I would take the Jets CB's any day of the week over Green Bays.
True but we have already lost a key guy in Edwards and Brad Smith. IDK what's going on with Cro, He might come back but he might not. As of now we have lost some key guys and havent added anything new. Hope we can re-sign cro and get a good receiver, If not we took a step backwards.
Yeah but both those teams have alot better pass rushers. The biggest reason why they got further then us.
When Polamalu is injured, Pitt's secondary is the suck, when he isn't they still aren't good but a hell of a lot better. Their front 7 doesn't allow them to be exposed much, we definitely agree there.
And one of the worst coverage safeties in football... although he would probably scare the crap out of Brady since he's the one who ko'd him for a season
It's pretty even. I would probably take Ward and Wallace over Holmes and Edwards, though only by the slightest of margins. Jennings/Driver is also close but I'd probably take Holmes and Edwards over that duo. Revis/Cromartie and Woodson/Williams were probably the two best combos in the league last year, I'd take our guys but you could make a strong case for the Packers'. The point is though, we can still win regardless, and I agree wholeheartedly with ukilledkenny on that.
