Yeah, I guess I would have preferred Jets/Giants on a different day, but I don't see the big deal of it. I was more upset last year with the night game on Thanksgiving. I'd rather it be the Giants that day than Buffalo or Jacksonville. Think about it that way. I like big opponents late in the year when people won't bail on their tickets. Tough schedule though, IMO. Eagles in Philly followed by Giants in a short week isn't easy. Those early three consecutive road games won't be either. But, we're a very good team now so let the other teams worry about how hard their schedule is with the Jets coming in to play them.
We have 3 SNF games, 1 MNF game, and the Christmas Eve game. The Giants have 2 SNF games, 2 MNF games, and the Christmas Eve game. I expected more prime time games for us.
... And three Sunday nights, which are seen as the most important game of the week. Edit: posted before the second post. Also, don't forget the 'primetime' NFLN game against Denver. That makes five primetime games, which are the limit for a team if I'm not mistaken?
Francesa is not my buddy. Francesa was all for a 9/11 anniversary Giants vs Jets theatrical celebration lovefest bash extravaganza. I was completely against it. I posted my thoughts on that in at least three different threads. Surely, you saw my comments, yet you conveniently failed to mention it. Do I sometimes agree with stuff Francesa says? Yes. Do I sometimes disagree with stuff he says? Yes. This is not difficult to understand, sec314. It's not difficult at all. Check the Giants-Jets XMas eve poll. I voted "indifferent." I am not pissed that the game is going to be played on 12/24. However, I do agree with Francesa on the matter. It is a short week. Christmas day newspapers are bare bones editions. It is the worst newspaper day of the year. There will not be normal media coverage after the Giants-Jets game. (I have more on this, but gotta go for now.)
We have a Thursday Night game as well. 5 night games, just like last year. I would rather have 2 MNF and 2 SNF than 1 and 3 though.
