    AJ Green, Wide Receiver, Georgia

No exaggeration here: he is the best receiver that I've ever seen.

The kid's been compared to Randy Moss since his freshman year of high school. The similarities in their game are freaky.

Green has elite height (6'4), amazing leaping ability, and he catches everything.

He's got experience playing in a pro-style offense at UGA and his route running is top notch. If he stays healthy as a rookie, he'll win rookie of the year - he's THAT good.

Completely agree, the giants best days on defense were when they had Pierce and Mitchell, who both had great years when they won the Super Bowl. It would really help their defensive woes to have a player who could basically step in and run the show

    Tyler Sash, S, Iowa

Another Big Ten player that has a solid NFL future that I really believe will be succesful. One of my favorite defensive players.

Sash is an intelligent player that knows how to be in the right position. Very instinctive player that understands how to read and react to the QB. Plays faster than his 4.6 time and is a ballhawk. 3 INTs vs Iowa State and 2 big INT returns vs South Carolina (Sorry MR E.:))in 2009's Outback bowl. The 1st INT was overthrown right to Sash playing centerfield. 2nd INT Sash broke on the ball (see picture above) and made a nice return, but I believe he fumbled the ball deep in SC's territory. Shonn Greene had a nice game too!

A player that is in the right place at the right time......little wasted motion. Sash is a good athlete, but they're many Safeties that are more athletic, but none more intelligent than Sash. Not afraid to stop the run and get physical. Team Captain and leader on a good Iowa defense.

Can equally play FS & SS.

Sash should be a solid Mid to Late 2nd Round pick.

    2009 Stats: 85 Tackles, 6 TFL, 6 INT’s, 2 FF’s, 12 Pass Breakups

    Casey Matthews, LB, Oregon

Casey is the younger brother of former USC Trojan and current Green Bay Packer Clay Matthews.

Like his brother, his father, and his uncle, Matthews just has what it takes to play at the next level. This game is in his blood.

Clay didn't really put it all together until his senior year at USC. Casey is basically the same player that his brother is physically. We'll be able to see if he can put up great combine numbers and bigger statistics as a senior in the PAC-10.

This part of the forum has been so dead the last two months, I seriously just considered adding a Jordan Jefferson scouting report to this thread. But then I realized thats probably considered hijacking a thread, so I decided against it

    Christian Anthony, DE, Grambling

    REMEMBER THIS PLAYER!!!!!

    My sleeper pick for 2011!!

Anthony is 6'4" 270 and is very athletic. Great first step, lightning quick. Reminds me of Greg Romeus. Christian Anthony projects to be a 4-3 DE in the NFL and could be a 3rd Round pick. Some believe Anthony may be a 3-4 OLB...had 5 Ints playing DL....can drop into coverage.

    8 sacks, 15 TFL, 76 tackles in 2009

    SWAC DPOY!!!

I know Jerrell Powe is already in this thread, but considering the news about Jenkins almost retiring this offseason, we need more NT prospects in this thread.

I'm hoping that Jenkins has a solid, healthy year and decides to play another season after this one, because this NT class is looking very weak.

With the exception of Jerrell Powe and Baylor's Phil Taylor, this year's nose tackle class is relatively unknown. A few players will emerge throughout the season...they always do.

There's a pair of Samoan lineman that I'll be keeping a close eye on - Stanford's Sione Fua and UNLV's Ramsey Feagai.

    I like Samoan players.

    Proud, mean, SOBs.

They love football like a family member.

    GH's Preseason Top 40 Countdown

Seeing as how the draft forum is starting to turn things back around after the natural post-draft lull, I figured I'd do a little extra with my Top 40 players. Over the next 40 days leading up to Sept. 1 (games start the 2nd), I'll be putting up a new prospect every day counting down to my #1 player for the 2011 draft right before next season starts. I'm bound to miss a day or two, so you'll probably see me double up on occasion. After it's all done I'll have a mod merge it into the one prospect at a time thread.

I'm going to get things going later on today, and then hopefully I'll roll right on through. Comments are happily welcomed, and feel free to bash my placement of players.

I've also included at the bottom the bottom ten on the top 50, just because it makes it all more symmetrical.

Where would Mark Herzlich be on your list had he not been sick?

I still can't believe that he's ready to play so soon. I'd love to see him in a New York Jets uniform next season.

#40. JEFF FULLER, Wide Receiver - Texas A&M - Junior

Jeff Fuller is one of the most under the radar offensive prospects in the nation. Fuller possesses good athletic ability, great size, and even better body control. The only thing holding him back right now is the depth at the position, but he has a secret weapon to make it past most of his competition. Of the five players generally regarded as the best at the position for next year, four will be breaking in new quarterbacks (Broyles, Baldwin, Floyd, and Green). Fuller will be in his third year starting with Aggie QB (and potential top 15 pick) Jerrod Johnson, and could put up monster numbers.

He also has another big positive working in his favor, and that's a father that is a former NFL Safety, Jeff Fuller, Sr. Before spring ball, Mike Sherman had a meeting with both Fullers saying what was expected of Jeff Jr., and he responded by dominating the practices. A personal favorite of mine, he could be a serious option for the Jets in Rd 1.

Probably in the top 15, not quite as high as Greg Jones, but up there. The only reason he's so low (an amazing statement for someone who's been through what he has) is that we can't know how his body will respond. He's literally been to hell and back. On the other side, having Luke Kuechly playing next to him will help him ease back into things.

Good shit, GH. I'm so damn ready for college football to start. I'll be paying close attention to Texas A&M. Jerrod Johnson has a lot of great weapons to throw to.

The Aggies also have Kerry Meier 2.0 with Ryan Tannehill. He's the perfect compliment for Fuller.

I expect big things from that offense.

People are still sleeping on him, and I have no idea why. I can't believe that some QBs that people have ahead of him on their rankings. I honestly believe that Johnson has a better shot at making the top 5 than any QB besides Andrew Luck.

#39. JAKE LOCKER, Quarterback - Washington - Senior

"What? But Jake Locker is soooo awesome!! He's like.... fast... and stuff..."

Yes, he is fast, too bad the stuff isn't quite what it's made out to be. I really have no clue why Jake Locker is considered such a lights out prospect, right now he just isn't where he needs to be as a passer to be a first round pick. I know that people will say "But Tebow was!!!!!!", that's because at least Tebow was a winner.

When it comes down to it, this is Locker: A fast, incredibly athletic QB with average NFL arm strength, and accuracy that needs work. Is he a great leader? Maybe, but he's certainly not Tebow in that category. Is he a winner? Nope. Does he have the potential to be a top 15 guy? Yes, but it would take Sarkisian doing some great work on him. Right now I'm content with him in this range, and if he proves to me that he can actually win some games then I'll bump him up.
