    And the whole Red Sox/Jets thing is pretty obvious isn't it? The Patriots didn't exist until 1960, so before that the closest teams to Boston were the Jets and Giants.

    That only works for old-timers who have the Giants-Red Sox combo goin' on.

    The Patriots and Titans (Jets) began playing in the same season.

    SundayJack likes the Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins but somehow likes the Jets. Maybe because the Jets have the same colors as the Celtics?

    A lot of people don't know about that Sox-Giants combo. You still do see it occasionally, but not like 30 years ago.

    My family is a bit different. I have one parent originally from Connecticut and another originally from Boston, but both of them were in Washington D.C. rooting for the Redskins until they moved back here in 1966.
