WINNING would probably take Hughes. He's the only somewhat annoying guy in the league right now. He's got the lamest team name and at least two owners were annoyed by his trade proposals (one made a one-liner post about it on the league board and another e-mailed me with a multiple paragraph knock of WINNING). Also, he has already sent me two proposals for Rivera. I turned both down and I rarely ever bother having Yankees on my fantasy teams. So you know the proposals weren't good. WINNING has now e-mailed me regarding what it will take to get Rivera.
Ortiz is the only AL player to triple in each of the past 12 seasons. I looked up Jeter, and amazingly he played 157 games in 2002 without a triple. Ichiro has done it every season, but this is his 11th.
Meh, it wasn't that bad. Running on a lefty he was just going on first movement and guessed wrong. I can live with it.
geeez, I thought the Jays were playing like shit....but you guys are worse. nice payroll, btw.
11 games complete. 2-9 record. Using the old standby of "95 wins to guarantee a spot in the playoffs," the Sox would need to win 93 of the remaining 151 games. That's .616 ball, or 100-win pace. That seems... unlikely.
I hate the Red Sox, but people thinking they are done at 2-9 are idiots. Everybody has rough patches in a season. The Sox chose to do it at the beginning of the year. It annoys me because once they start winning ESPN will act like its amazing or something.
