Fortunately we play some winnable games early on but I honestly could see us slip @ Oakland. Even under Rex we seem to have some games that make you wanna throw your remote through your TV. This could be one of them. I don't like the Denver game especially after we play the Pats on a Sunday.
Every year people say that Buffalo is gonna be a trap game and every year we kick their ass. Honestly I really don't care about the composition of W's and L's so long as at the very least we sweep Miami and take 1/2 from New England. I can't stand having a losing record to Sparano and that mediocre franchise.
They did beat us two years ago though in one of the worst games I ever seen a Jet QB play. I still think we split Miami and Pats. The Phins seem to have a good game plan against our D regradless of how much they suck against everybody else.

The New York Jets, for ~25 years now. I tend to be a pessimist. Being pleasantly proven wrong is quite enjoyable.
Agreed, all of our games against Miami seem to come down to the 4th quarter. We're way better than the Dolphins are, but it's tough to consistently beat a team that you play twice a year. That's why I predicted that we lose the 2nd game to Miami.
9-7 is pessimistic. 8-8 is having zero faith. SOJF is something that a few of us want to eradicate in the minds of all Jets fans. Hopefully we'll be able to change your thinking by the end of the season.
That's the thing about divisional games - records don't mean shit. Anyone can win those. And can someone predict an Eagles win? I know the Jets have never beaten the Eagles in the regular season, but if they beat PIT for the first time at PIT, they can do it against Philly.
I hate them but they're never an easy win except when Wanstedt was there. That goes way back to when I was a kid. We had clowns like Walton and Coslet yet we always seemed to play tough games against Shula and Marino.
Not a fan of the fantasy this game is a win, this game is a loss. But realistically 11-5. Sanchez hasn't proven in the regular season to be a QB that can win 75% of the games yet.
What sucks is 11-5 is probably still a wild card unless Tom Brady falls down a flight of stairs and breaks his leg.
In my experience, online attempts to eradicate a particular opinions are always doomed to failure. People are what they are at their core. Peer pressure may get one to smoke a doobie, but it rarely changes who you really are. I, at my core, am a doubter. With that said, while my prediction is quite dark, the potential of the team, which is different than my own prediction, is quite good. This Jets team could be a 12 win team. If we win 12 games, I won't be shocked in the least, the talent and potential clearly exist. And of course, while I predict 8 wins, I hope deeply for 16 wins. I'll save further detailed analysis for other, more appropriate, threads. And thanks for the welcome.
