I guess I'll go make some threads BTW talking about the picks I, of course, love the Iupati pick... I think that would be a possible pick if OTs fall like they did in this mock. IMO Dallas would love to put their hands on him but if a good OT prospect falls to them they won't be able to resist.
if we landed Iupati....i'd be ecstatic. Our oline and run game would basically stay intact for the forseeable future.
The Jets had a lot of good options, I'm happy with Iupati though, it's just relieving to see how many studs are still on the board at our pick.
This is what i'm banking on come April....and don't get me wrong, i LOVE the Iupati pick.....but if there ARE a bunch of studs still around that pick...i hope the Jets trade back a few spots.....grab some more picks...and still land their guy. Ideal scenario, IMO.
OH come on WW!! Warren was going to be my pick for the Lions... now there are 2 other players I'm high on and no one better steal them!
nice pick, WW85....like you mentioned, Griffen is toast...and Winfield isn't getting any younger. Frazier needs to stock up the secondary.
Sorry for not commenting sooner on my jets pick guys. I'm really happy w/ the Iupati pick. I felt that b/c overall depth is this team's biggest need along w/ the fact that this team wins in the trenches on both sides of the ball...that I wanted to go w/ a best player available philosophy...ideally targetting both lines. Iupati has a chance to be a dominant run blocker in this league. He may not start right away..but he'll provide great depth at both guard spots. He can learn behind 2 very good players...one of which is a borderline hall of famer in Faneca and Moore. Also don't forget that we employ alot of "Big" formations that allow for an additional 1 or even 2 extra O-linemen on any given down.Iupati will be an asset in those situations and those opportunities will allow him to learn the game speed and position, in a unique positive way. If this is the Jets pick come April I will be absolutely ecstatic.
Although I feel CB is the only position in which I think we need a starter instead of depth I agree that Iupati is such valuable depth at such an important position that it would be impossible to pass on him.
Ahhh, damn you Pinpoint. Damn you and your Kermit avatar. I was thinking Spoon was going to drop to Rd 2 for me.
I thought that Cox would be a good pick for the Colts at 32. They don't have many holes (obviously) but they do need to bolster their defensive secondary. Of course-someone (WW85 lol) decided to pick Donovan Warren only a few picks before me so I figured Cox wasn't that much of a drop off talent wise anyway.
Actually we're doing pretty well.....getting through Rd 1 in a little over 24 hours isn't bad. You should have seen a few mocks run by a few other commishs (no longer around), before iIook over, ..10 picks in a week.....not joking. Green Hurricane & I took over and it's been a lot better. My guess we will be done Wed/Thu.
don't like that D.Avery and L.Robinson are constantly on the IR in St.Louis.....Golden Tate should provide some much needed playmaking ability for Marc Bulger or whoever is going to be taking snaps behind center for the Rams. Damn this shitty class of QBs......
I'M HERE I'll need a little time when I Go OTC, but I won't leave until the pick is submitted Just a heads up
