Chicago Bears Round 3 Daryius Thomas - If it works out Cutler will have his second coming of Brandon Marshall or at least 75% of him Jacksonville Jaguars Round 1 Taylor Mays - Major need in the secondary and could develop into a team leader, has been under the radar so maybe a bit of his drop could be overanalysis or a bit od a step back from the previous season where he was only a big behind Berry Round 3 Colt McCoy - Needs someone to push Garrard and he should be able to develop into a starter, good situation to develop someone and not need to be at a sprinters place, they will also be able to pay peanuts for a sar if he is okay on his rookie, if he turns a bust its only a 3rd
I think there would be riots in the streets if Ozzie made those picks. If a WR is not selected in the first three rounds Ozzie will be run out of town on a rail. Not to mention selecting players into slots where there is already talent would not go over well in fandom.
I like the Bills, Colts, Chiefs, and Broncos in the AFC. I like Washington, and St Louis in the NFC. Oakland's picks look good but will never happen that way. Oakland is impossible to rate.
After seeing Trent Williams go as the first offensive lineman in the entire draft at the fourth overall pick I just had to bump this. I took Williams for the Ravens at pick # 25 and this is just a small helping of the abuse I got for it. After taking Jared Odrick in round two and Kareem Jackson in round three I still barely got any respect for this awesome performance.
Who cares if they need an offensive tackle? I practically got him for free. I took the fourth pick in the entire draft at pick # 25. Do you have any idea how much it would cost to trade up from pick # 25 to pick # 4? I don't even think it can be done.
I wasn't wrong. The Ravens have Michael Oher and Jared Gaither...as well as Ben Grubbs and Chris Chester. They don't need an offensive tackle. I'm glad that Trent Williams went so high...that's awesome. It still doesn't change the fact that you drafted an offensive tackle for a team that already has two very good starters at the position.
Football is an extremely violent sport. Players get hurt all the time. Having reserves for substitution or trade bait is never a bad thing. When Parcells was here we saw the value of making players compete for positions instead of having starting jobs handed to them. Show me any team that doesn't need a top 5 talent.
