Atlanta's draft finished up like this: ATLANTA FALCONS, DHarris52 Rd 1) Everson Griffen, DE, USC Rd 3) Javier Arenas, CB, Alabama ***missed pick (made by..thebrickwall423)
Finished the Raiders draft, I'm pretty happy. I think I landed a (real) franchise QB, another talented for him to throw to, and two future starters on the OL. OAKLAND RAIDERS, PinPointPenning10 Rd 1) Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma Rd 2) Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU Rd 3) Jon Asamoah, OG, Illinois. ***Missed pick..(made by -MC-) Rd 3) Selvish Capers, OT, West Virginia
Not really - especially if you look at next year's potential class. In 2011, we could possibly see 3 WRs go in the top ten... UGA's AJ Green, Bama's Julio Jones, and Notre Dame's Michael Floyd are all ridiculous talents.
I'm thinking more in the middle rounds. Bryant, Benn, Tate and Williams are very good WRs. Later on you have talents like *woops.
This draft has hit the "proverbial wall"....we're running out of steam and limping home. I may have to make some tough decisions (7 rd) on GMs that missed picks and take up all of the 3 hour window. I'm up for the "friendly poster" award and I have to put the hammer down!!!
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS Rd 1) Eric Berry, S, Tennessee Rd 2) Brian Price, DT, UCLA Rd 2) Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech Rd 3) Alex Carrington, DE, Arkansas St ===== TENNESSEE TITANS Rd 1) Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech Rd 3) Austen, Lane, DE, Murray St Note: Jevon Kearse will be 34 in 2010, is breaking down physically, had 1 SACK in 2009 and hasn't had 4+ Sacks since 2005 Kyle Vanden Bosch will be 32 in 2010, had 3 Sacks in 2009 and 4.5 in 2008, so he is clearly on the downside as well. Their Younger DE's (Jacob Ford & Wayne Hayes) were not exactly lighting up the QB either with 5.5 and 4 Sacks respectively .. and the Titans play a 43 defense, so in their scheme the DE's are supposed to be your primary pass rushers. That's why I drafted two DE's for Tennessee.
Alright, give me a minute. I just recovered from a collapse a few hours ago. The pick will be in soon sorry for the delay.
Quack where is your pick??? You PMed me ..I'm on OTC. Please post Green Bay's pick in the selection thread.
Sorry about that, I zoned out and accidentally closed the tab with the post in it rather than posting it.
Indeed he was. Apologize for that...I hate when "Control + F" fails. Just took Veldheer. Real sleeper out of hillside. Love his size and athleticism.
Looks like the Packers are done: GREEN BAY PACKERS, Quack Rd 1) Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, Michigan Rd 2) Brandon Ghee, CB, Wake Forest Rd 3) Sam Young, OT, Notre Dame I think I didn't do half bad for them, considering who was available. I'm going to swing on over to a Packers forum to see what they think.
My two teams are done: KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, WW85 Rd 1) Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama Rd 2) Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama Rd 2) Ryan Mathews. RB, Fresno St Rd 3) Maurkice Pouncey, C/OG, Florida I really like KC's draft!!...McClain will be a leader on the defense. Cody was a good value in early Rd 2....middle of KC's defense is set. Mathews a steal in Mid/late rd 2!! Pouncey a good value & need for KC's line. I almost drafted Eric Norwood, but could n't ignore the O-Line any longer. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES, WW85 Rd 1) Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida Rd 2) Navarro Bowman, OLB, Penn St Rd 3) Anthony Dixon, RB, Miss St Rd 3) Darrell Stuckey, S, Kansas Wanted Everson Griffen.....just missed, went wth Dunlap. Bowman could be a steal...if he gets his act together. Dixon a bigger back to pair with Shady. Stuckey would be a nice addition to Philly's secondary.
Jonathan Baldwin can blow past all those guys too. With his size he's probably the best athlete amongst them. They are all first round talents though... Then there's DeAndre Brown, Nick Toon, Tolliver....few other guys.
The Ravens draft is completed. BALTIMORE RAVENS, James Hasty Rd 1) Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma Rd 2) Jared Oldrick, DL, Penn St Rd 3) Kareem Jackson,CB, Alabama What do you guys think?
