I just wrapped both of my drafts up...

    SAN FRANCISCO FORTY-NINERS

Rd 1) Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
Rd 1) Earl Thomas, S, Texas
Rd 2) Cam Thomas, NT, North Carolina
Rd 3) Mike Neal, DE, Purdue

The Niners really have a lot of ammunition early in this draft.

    - Anthony Davis will fill their hole at right tackle, and he may be able move to left tackle eventually. The staff over there is really high on Joe Staley, so this move should solidify their offensive line.

    - Earl Thomas is my second rated safety behind the great Eric Berry. He fills a big hole in their secondary. The kid's just a playmaker. The pick was a no-brainer.

    - Cam Thomas is a guy that I can see rising, especially if he has a good combine. He'll pair with mediocre nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin and give Mike Singletary a nice rotation at NT.

    - Mike Neal was my best rated 3-4 defender when I made this pick. Justin Smith will be 32 years old next season, so Neal should eventually take over at that position.

    CAROLINA PANTHERS

Rd 2) Aaron Hernandez, TE, Florida
Rd 3) Geno Atkins, DT, Georgia

The Panthers really have a lack of ammunition early in this draft.

    - Aaron Hernandez will give the Panthers a receiving option other than Steve Smith. I really see a lot of Dallas Clark when I watch Hernandez play. Whoever ends up starting at QB in Carolina will have a hell of a safety net in this kid.

    - Geno Atkins is really underrated right now. The guy completely outshined every defensive lineman at the combine (besides Brandon Graham). He showed amazing burst and the quickest first step out of any one out there. He gave Mike Iupati a lot of trouble during the Senior Bowl...beat him for a sack and he was held twice. This pick should help solidify the middle of the Panthers' defense.

I almost picked Atkins for the Raiders but went with OL. Hes a good athlete and will do very well in a 4-3.

Just finished up the Broncos draft. It looked liked so....

    Broncos

    11.) Jason Pierre-Paul, OLB
    45.) Jermaine Gresham, TE
    80.) D'Anthony Smith, DE

Im quite happy with my haul. Nothing too great, but I think they would be happy to get this draft...

The Texans get Kyle Wilson and Blount by me. And WW gave him Nate Allen.

That secondary is complete and the Texans get another RB to complement Slaton and give them an extra punch in the running game.

    1st - Kyle Wilson
    2nd - Nate Allen
    3rd - Legarrette Blount

I think it sucks, for me the 1st round does not even start until 12.30am so I have to take a day off work to watch it. Why the fuck does the NFL give a shit about TV ratings for the draft ffs.

I really think the Texans will pass on a running back in this draft. Kubiak and his staff seem to be really high on Arian Foster. He was very good towards the end of the season.

    Blount is a beast though.

He kicked the crap out of Miami and the Pats at the end of the season.

I just think that if Blount is sitting in the middle of round 3 he has to be taken. If the sucker punch never happened, he'd be a 1st day guy (old 1st day, not this new gay Thursday night bullshit).

    its all money.

They can get higher revenue dollars, more exposure, etc.

I'm hoping it bombs because I want to see other networks put their best shows up against this thing and for the TV shows absolutely rape the new draft schedule to the point where they change it back.

I hope all of the top networks move up some season finale and crossover shows on that thursday and embarrass "draft night"

Fucking retarded. The draft is a day long event. Not one night, then the next, then finishing in on a saturday.

    someone is retarded.

I agree that he'd be drafted a lot higher if the punch wasn't thrown.

Hell, if he has a great combine and interviews well, he still could go in the second round after the Senior Bowl performance.

    Pittsburgh Steelers draft is over

Rd 1- Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa
Rd 2- Myron Rolle S Florida St.
Rd 3- Boo Robinson NT Wake Forest

If could do it again I probaly take Kyle Wilson over Bulaga. I thought Patrick Robinson would fall to my second round pick or Devin McCourtey to my third round pick and both were picked a couple picks ahead. Pitt needs alot help in the secondary, far more than just Myron Rolle.

I really liked the Myron Rolle pick. He and Polamalu would make a hell of a safety tandem.

Pittsburgh's secondary really isn't that bad...Polamalu's injury really killed that defense.

Taking a guy like Kyle Wilson would make sense though, because they haven't drafted a corner before the 5th round since 2003 (Ike Taylor in the 4th round). Drafting a corner definitely wouldn't hurt.

I thought you might like the Rolle pick.

Polamalu's injury definitly hurt and haven't watched that many Pittsburgh games this year, but the ones I have seen their corners haven't stepped up. And when I checked out a couple Steeler message boards their fans were pretty fed up with their corners.

I'm here, and I love the pick...at least for the mock. Gerhart's the best football player we've had at Stanford in decades. What's not to love? He narrowly became one of my sister's combine players, but he opted to train at another facility instead of hers. Oh well.

I don't think it's a terrible pick for the Jets if we're going to continue to be a run first team. Gerhart thrives with a solid line and will take every available yard. He's just not going to be as explosive as some may like. However, given his size, he makes a good blocker and with some work, I could even see him line up as the fullback at times for more versatility.

I think we have more pressing needs in this draft, but I wouldn't complain if he came our way. Might be a bit early for him as well, given injury concerns.

    thebrickwall423.....nice ATL pick....CB was a need and I like Javier's return ability...good value.

I would have selected the same player.

Both drafts are done and I somehow managed to not draft a single defensive player.

    Bills:

    Dez Bryant, WR, OK St.
    Jason Fox, OT, Miami
    Kyle Calloway, OT, Iowa

Bryant is the kind of playmaker Gailey is going to need in his offense and will allow the team to end the TO era. Odds are Fitzpatrick is going to go into camp as the starter and year 2 with crappy QB play is going to wind up causing problems if TO is on the team. Bryant and Evans will make it easier until Buffalo can find a QB of the future and Fox and Calloway could wind up starting at each tackle in the very near future.

    Bengals

    WR Damian Williams, USC
    TE Rob Gronkowski, Arizona
    RB Joe McKnight, USC

The Bengals offense got a ton more weapons in this draft and maybe Palmer could develop into the kind of passer everyone thought he'd be. Williams and Gronkowski are probably both day 1 starters and McKnight would be a great change of pace 3rd down back and return man.

Thanks. I'm not in love with his pure corner skills which is why I didnt pick him for Pitt, but he has such big play ability on defense and in special teams. Atlanta really lacked explosiveness and big play ability on Defense and on special teams Arenas solves both.

It was a really good pick, if you didn't take him I was going to with the next pick for the Bengals.

Sorry for the delay guys. I got tied up in a meeting in which I didn't get cell phone reception. But I'm not bummed in the least. Believe it or not, Javier was one of the players I was targeting for my last selection. Great job, thebrickwall343.
