I agree..just like in tennis, you shouldn't lose a challenge unless you're wrong. The only problem would be teams possibly abusing them for free timeouts later in games. (6 to 2 minute mark)
Come on dude, if Bart Scott drove a QB to the ground like that you'd be geeked. This is football Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so
The rule was actually changed for 2010. Not a major change, though. Just an adjustment. The old rule was that a player could not remove his helmet while on the field. There were some exceptions- mostly obvious stuff like if a player removed his helmet after a timeout was called. The new rule for 2010- Unsportsmanlike conduct will be called if there is Removal of his helmet by a player in the field of play during a celebration or during a confrontation with a game official or any other player. What's the difference? Well, in 2009 if a player removed his helmet on the field after a play and was not celebrating or taunting someone, a flag would be thrown. In 2010, no flag should be thrown. For helmet removal instances in 2010, a flag should only be thrown if a player removes his helmet to be an asshole or showboat.
I hate to see anybody injured, but I love to see the Cowboys lose. Just the sight of Jerry Jones galls me beyond description.
Yeah, and you know how awesome football is when backup QBs start getting involved. There aren't even enough mediocre QBs to fill the starting positions in the NFL, let alone these pieces of human filth like Jon Kitna who have no business on an NFL field.
Fractured clavicle on his non-throwing arm. Anyone want to venture a guess as to how many weeks he's going to miss?
If you ever get a bad boner, just think of Jerry Jones' face. To hell with baseball or Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day.
I have to disagree with the part I bolded. I think since the league expanded to 28 teams in 1976, that this is a real good time for starting QBs. Many years in the '80s, '90s and early '00s there were some really horrible QBs starting on a regular basis. Speaking of human filth, that David Carr is a piece of shit. He has no awareness and no arm. I watched the final SF drive yesterday. It was absolutely pathetic.
There's a lot of Cowboys hate, more so than Giants love, in this thread. I don't mind watching the Boys fail, but I think there's another issue. I have to say, while the Jets and Giants are not "rivals", I was absolutely stunned by the lack of support for the Jets last year from Giants fans that I know. Giants fans are so accustomed to being the #1 show in NY/NJ that they never will root for the Jets (unless the Jets are playing an NFC East rival). While I would gladly lend the Giants some bandwagon support, frankly, this attitude has made me sour on the Giants and their elitist, Yankee-like, fanbase. We all know who the best home team in the Meadowlands is this year. This, in my opinion, deserves its own thread.
