I believe a San Fran player slightly deflected the kick. The announcers watched the replay and didn't see it.
You should've taken the points. But you got the late over with the SF TD + conversion, so you broke even.
I predicted the score to be Saints 27, 49ers 20. That's why I took the Saints and the over. My prediction wasn't all that bad considering I was off by 2 points on each team's score. Of course, the two points in each case went in the wrong direction.
Saints/49ers MNF Thoughts First of all, it was a good game. IMHO, the 49ers have a way to go before I would consider them a quality playoff team. They seem to make crucial mistakes at inopportune times which is very characteristic of a young team or a team that lack's discipline. Coach Singletary looks ready to have an epic meltdown at any moment. He has a very scary glare! The saints are not the high-powered saints of last season. I know they're capable of busting loose at any time but they have not yet. You've heard the phrase, "Its better to be lucky than good." The scary part is that the saints are both lucky and good. They are a formidable team again this season based on talent. With Dallas problems, and the Vikings and Philly's QB situation, the saints could easily represent the NFC in the Super Bowl for a second time.
The 49ers are still the best team in that division. I fully expect them to go on a tear from here on out. Their next 9 games are listed below and I think they will go 8-1. at KC - should win at ATL - could go either way...I'll say the Falcons win the home game vs PHI - should win vs OAK - should win at CAR - should win vs DEN - should win bye vs STL - should win vs TB - should win at ARI - should win Then they have GB before playing SEA, SD, STL, ARI. If they go 2-3 here, at worst they will finish with a 10-6 record.
When you have 8 should wins, at least one tends to not go the way you think it will. I'd be shocked if they go 8-1 over that stretch. Also, I wouldn't say at Atlanta is either way. That's one Atlanta should win.
