why are the giants taking a timeout? they are down 38-7 and getting driven backwards on every rush by the colts. is coughlin simply a masochist?
4 minutes left, Giants down 31 points, Eli getting bludgeoned all night long... Yeah, keep him in there.
This game lends credit to the whole "Coughlin gets fired if he has another bad season" story the papers have been pushing.
Giants' D forces a fumble and recovers the ball with 1:52 on the clock. You just know Eli's thinking "oh for fuck's sake". And with me writing that, he throws long for a TD.
ok, cool a Nicks TD is fine I'm in a money league with some wacky stats. Manningham scored 18 points on that one TD. Point for the reception, points for the yardage, points for the TD, and then bonus points for the TD being over 50 yards I have a 131 to 119 or 120 or 121 lead with three guys in action tomorrow (Crabtree and P. Thomas for me, Gore for my opponent)
Speak for yourself, I was ahead in my league and now I'm behind because of that stupid play with only a team D pick tomorrow (have SF but I'm not risking them against the Saints with needing four points to win so I picked up the Saints lol).
that Nicks TD cost me a loss for my team I lost 111.65 to 111.51 I had the Colts Defense and the other guy had Peyton...fuck
This was the sixth time it happened. You're right about it not happening since 1994, but you missed: Fouts-Strock, 1982 divisional playoffs So five in the regular season now, and once in the playoffs. Schaub/McNabb came only four yards short of O'Brien Marino, but of course overtime helped. Also, this was by far the lowest-scoring of the six games, having only 57 points. Next lowest was 65 and then 74.
You are right. I wasn't even considering playoff games. A couple more that were close- 9/24/72 Jets at Colts Namath 496, Unitas 376 12/16/62 Eagles at Cardinals Jurgensen 419, Johnson 386
also, there was an excellent SI article about it 11 years ago http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1017416/index.htm
