what all has to happen for the giants to still get in once they lose this game?

I knew they weren't completely out but I thought it would be more difficult than that.

Giants could wind up tied with Tampa Bay at 10-6 in your scenario, and they'd have the same conference record. It would go to common games, and I haven't done the breakdown there.

So it is more complicated than you said. To definitively clinch without it going to common games, they'd need win + GB loss or tie + TB loss or tie

According to the Yahoo scenarios Tampa Bay would then get in over New Orleans, but the Giants would still be in. In fact, that's another way the Giants can make it - even if Green Bay wins, if the Giants win and Tampa Bay beats New Orleans, there are four 10-6 teams in the NFC, and Green Bay and the Giants get in.

It's at New Orleans and it matters a whole lot for the Saints, so I'd be very surprised if the Bucs can beat them.

 

Chicago might want the bye. they may not get it with a loss against GB.

This was my best Sunday of the year. 10-2 against the spread (missed with Tennessee and the Jets) and 9-3 straight up (missed with San Diego, Jacksonville, and the Jets).

 

Eagles get to enjoy the snowstorm, since they've now clinched the NFC East.
