They play on the 27th. I also think they'll meet in the playoffs. There is a solid chance that the Saints will be the 5 seed. If they beat the NFC West winner, and the 3 seed beats the 6 seed, then the Saints would likely play the Falcons in the divisional round. I do not think the Falcons are better than the Saints in almost every way.
I thought it was fair. Going into this game, they appeared to be of similar quality, and DVOA agreed. Vick really did not look good today, though. Part of it was the Giants, part of it was him just not making the right decisions.
No shit Galileo I didn't know it was a new season.. Brees is carving up that Ravens defense... We shall see in the playoffs...
I know when they play, my buddy is a huge Falcons fan and to be honest, I don't care either way, but I've watched every single one of their games. Their 0-line/d-line/running game and secondary are all better than the Saints'. Roddy White could be the best WR in football this year and Tony Gonzalez is no slouch. However, Drew Brees is a better QB than Matt Ryan. But, Ryan is playing pretty well. High TD/INT ratio. They don't turn the ball over.
After getting frustrated with being under .500 by making picks using bias and hunches and other reasons of stupidity, I had to use mathematics. I now have a formula for picking against the spread. It takes up hours of time because I use a hand calculator. It would be much quicker if I figured out a way to run the formula with a computer. Anyway, the formula was good for 10-6 two weeks ago and 11-5 last week and is looking good again today. My numbers suggested that I should take the Giants to cover a spread of 7. I do this before I even look at the actual lines.
you need to get someone to help you get it onto a spreadsheet or something many handicappers have formulas and set their own lines before looking at what the actual betting lines are, like you suggested.
Saying Drew Brees is the better QB when both are great QB's doesnt say much about the game, when they're both great its the help around them that makes the difference.
I'd rather have the Saints secondary, but if you prefer the Falcons one that's fine. I don't think it's a huge difference either way. Also, I don't think home field matters a great deal in that rivalry.
I do think the Falcons are better, but when they are both great QBs it also comes down to experience as well.
Yeah, I have to set it up. Maybe look at one of my old business statistics books or something. I saved a couple from college.
Obviously the edge goes to Brees there but Ryan aint no rookie anymore, neither would make mistakes that are due to lack of experience IMO.
