The Colts draft was a little puzzling to me. Jerry Hughes with Freeney and Mathis already on the roster? I had to take a defensive tackle and Ogho was one of my top rated all-around prospects, so things worked out for the always absent Warhound.
If only it happened sooner, he could have been your headache, not ours. And when I say headache, I was trying to be polite.
Carter is a versatile guy, who can play inside at guard or, in my opinion, slide out to right tackle after some time learning. His experience in that wide open Tech system means that it'll take some work to get the technique down for the NFL, but he's tall with long arm and packs a good punch off the snap. He's got great feet too, which he needed with things so spread out at TT, and that's one of the reasons why he could emerge as an intriguing candidate for the Right Tackle spot if the coaches can get the basics down. Plus, he's a leader, and most importantly a very passionate player (like WW said, a Rex kind of guy). I think he and Slauson will be on hell of a scary duo on the line if they both can develop into starters, as a few people have mentioned. In the Jets kind of offense you need lineman that have that mindset, that they want to hit someone for 60 minutes. And for Seattle, they don't have a starting caliber Strong Safety on the roster, and I think TJ could be a guy that can step in from day one. He's a hitter, and he knows his game. But, he's shown that he might have the athletic ability this offseason to turn into a complete safety. I like his potential, and feel that he should be an instant impact guy on the defense. Still though, he fits in with my long term plans of having these picks be ready to make a serious move in 2 years.
Guys....I found 624's board for Rd 3....it has alot of players available.....so I'm going to draft his top player....that isn't a repeat position.
If we could land a guy like Mark Herzlich in 2011's draft, we'd have the three scariest/crazy looking white guys in the league. God, I hope Herzlich comes back as the same player. Eye black would become a limited resource in our locker room.
Apparently Carter uses mascara for his face paint... Not sure why exactly, but it's a fun little fact. Feel free to use that.
And on a completely different note, BakerMaker with two huge steals in the 4th, Carlton Mitchell is my 6th rated WR, and Dan LeFeavour is my 3rd QB. LeFeavour has a ton of potential, and should really excel if he gets to sit back and learn for a couple of seasons.
There really are. So many that I may sit back on my targeted guys at the position until much later than I initially planned.
If Baltimore had a third rounder, Carlton Mitchell would be a Raven. I'm hoping that one of these other guys slide to them in the fifth.
