Odom was a beast for the Bengals before the injury last year. Good thing it was only a poke in the eye for Odom
It really does...but being able to watch football, hear the announcers etc is a great thing... Its on.
That 4th TE, Sicko on the Cowboys is the cousin of someone I grew up with. He turned down UDFA invites from a few teams when he didn't get drafted (jets and cowboys included), but then the Cowboys talked him into playing. His reasoning was that he wanted to continue his education - that's what his family always taught him was most important. I thought he was nuts when I heard it, but luckily the Cowboys talked him back into it.
This is what I cannot stand about the preseason. I get that won/loss record doesn't mean anything, and the primary goal is to evaluate your players, but if you're at the 1 yard line with under 2 minutes to go, down 2 scores, throw the ball instead of running it into the line. And if you do happen to get in the endzone, down 16, how about going for 2? And the NFL charges full price for this charade. What a joke.
As dumb as it is for the NFL to charge full price, it's even dumber for people to pay to see this shit. If it's part of your season ticket package that's one thing but I'm sure there's a handful of people that pay full price on stubhub, ticketmaster, etc.
I'm watching the Ravens game. it's on ESPN, but not espn3.com. http://atdhe.net/17908/watch-carolina-panthers-vs-baltimore-ravens one of the starting Carolina defenders is named Captain Munnerlyn.
I gotta say...seeing the Ravens execute that blindside blitz to perfection on 3rd and long makes me so pumped for next week. I can't wait to see our D do just the same come Monday.
I'm watching Don Criqui and Randy Cross do the Patriots-Saints game. My god they make me want to punch the television.
Keyshawn Johnson called Darren McFadden "Dwight McFadden". Stuart Scott pointing out that Jason Campbell had better stats pre-Raiders than Jim Plunkett. I always find it funny how they take an aberration like a legend who started really poorly and then say "look! this guy has the same numbers or better!" Yeah, lots of guys do. And notice how rare it is for them to become great.
I know it is terrible. They said Tom Brady was in mid season form after a handoff, and of course had to say "A lot of people forget, the Patriots not the Jets won the AFC East last year. The Jets were a wild card team that only got in because of the Colts situation, I don't care what they say, that's how they got in"
