You're entitled to your own opinion.

Are you not watching this game? He's played pretty damn good so far.

    Of course I'm watching.

He's playing well against a pretty bad team.

By the way, in case what I said at the beginning of the thread wasn't clear, I was saying that quoting stats about first time playoff starts today regarding Cutler isn't that comparable, because, while I don't know which QBs were included in the stats, I'm sure almost all of them played against much better teams and defenses than Cutler is today. That's why I didn't place much weight on the record (or against the spread performance) of past first time playoff QBs.

I understood your point about that. The analysts always give us stats that don't always mean anything.
I was only interested in how they arrived at that 5-9 number as it was an opportunity for me to see if they got it right.

I can't even find articles citing these stats.

The first place I heard one was on Francesa's show this morning, but he didn't mention an article. He just said the 5-9 record (I believe).

Best I could find was this, which just talks about this year's playoff QBs.

Yep, Saints-Bears would have been so much more interesting. The problem was the Saints defense laid an egg last week.

I predicted a 31-13 Bears win today. The Seahawks are playing even worse than I expected.

Dis game is an utta disasta.

Chicago. Dec 14 - (AP) - The Chicago Bears scored 24 points in a wild second period today to defeat the Green Bay 33 to 14 and win teh Western Division playoff in the National Professional Football League.

The Bears also won the right to meet the New York Giants here next Sunday for the league championship.

    Packers Grab Lead

The Packers made a terrific battle of it for the opening period scoring the first touchdown after one minute 65 seconds to take a 7-0 lead. The Bears scored on Hugh Gallarneau's 81-yard punt return for a touchdown just before the period ended.

Bob Snyder's 23-yard field goal which opened the second period put the Chicagoans ahead 9-7 and from then on it was strictly the Bears.
