didn't hear the Tank interview with Simms but I'm sure it went a little like this Tank: What do you dink of Aaron Rodggiz? Simms: He does a lot of things well, the best being his accuracy, it's pin point, he's just very goo(cut off) Tank: Oh yeah, Roddgiz uhh terrific throwuhh of da footbawl. he's got great mobility, great feet, and he's deadly accurate. he's scary good! he's just scary, he really is. now onto trumont williams...
The interview with Simms annoyed be a lot. I really like Simms' analysis on things. Tank just wanted to finish Simms' sentences to impress him but instead he comes off looking like an ass as usual.
Wins since super bowl era is a weak arguement when bashing the Giants and in actuality its a miracle that they are #17 as from 1963 to 1981 they had very few winning years(2 no playoffs) and were in my opinion the worst team of the 70s. Ironically what the Steelers(best team in the 70's were prior to 1970). In fact, historically speaking the Giants have 105 more wins than the Steelers, a terrific Super Bowl era team record wise(Giants have played 8 more seasons). So in essence the 70's and early 80's and the mid 90's sort of cancel each other out and balance these teams out, at least wins wise. A clear case how a stat(such as wins in Super Bowl era) can skew an arguement.(its sort of like saying the Jets are not an elite AFC team the last 2 years as they have not won the most games, irrelevant when looking at the big picture. Heres another stat that no one brought up, the Giants are tied(30) with the Dallas Cowboys for all time playoff appearances. I certainly had many fans of other teams the past few weeks remind me that their team was in the playoffs while mine was not. If that fact means nothing then I ask all fans that mock other teams refrain from ever bringing up that point. To go a tad further onto the 3-13 championship game record pre 1986, we can look at the Championship game record in Super Bowl ERA(isn't that how this started) and see they are 4-0(having also never allowed a TD in a home champ game) so again theres another little silly way to skewer a stat. Heres something to keep in mind, when Francessa mocks the Jets about losing 2 championship games and it means nothing without a win, do not allow yourself to get angry if you are going to throw cold water on the Giants 16 championshp games appearances with only 3 wins. Sort of a tad hypocritical if you ask me, sort of like looking at the Giants overall wins in the Super Bowl era.
notice any time he gets a former football player on his show he tries to throw in cool football terms that make him sound smart. ovah-load blitz! zone blitz! throw to da hot! bracket!
The best thing is when he talks bout Rex's blitzing style, he references to defensive backs as "deep backs" I know Rex likesta blitz da deep bax all da time but da offensive coordinatas in da NFL are figurin him out
Dear god men, please stop listening to this guy. He's obviously a blowhard who says inflammatory shit to get a rise out of listeners and attract attention/controversy. He's the Skip Bayless of the NYC radio market. Stop listening to this douche and falling for his bullshit.
