Says Revis has a lot of leverage. Keeps saying the Jets screwed Leon and approached Revis about a new contract and Rex called him the best Defensive player in the NFL, so they brought this on themselves. One dude called in and mentioned the Wednesday rumor and Fathead immediately shot him down, saying, "Call me back on Wednesday if the deal gets done, and I'll admit I was wrong." Dude was like, "Yeah ok, Mike, I'll call you back on Wednesday."
Just said he doesn't think Asomugha's contract is "remotely ridiculous." Thinks it's fair and worthy of its number.
Also said...What does Joe Fan, the guy with a regular job care whose pocket the money goes into, the player or the owner" Ummm...Lardass...the average fan, unlike you, realizes that's not how it works. The NFL has a little thing called...the 'salary cap'?

Earlier when a guy called in talking about how Revis could potentially miss 2 years if he sits out this year, Fathead cut him off and said that "you're in a Never-Never Land if you think there won't be football next year; Revis isn't missing two years." NOW, someone just called in asking what's the biggest story heading into the Season and throughout the Season, and Fathead says it's the impending labor strike and threat of no football. Well, if it's a lock that there will be a Season, so much so that to think otherwise would place one in "Never-Never Land," then why would it be a big story? He's such a joke.

For some reason people forget that the Jets offered Washington a new contract. His agent turned it down because he wanted MJD money but the Jets didn't value him as a #1 back. I only say that because he brought up Washington today when talking about Revis.
Actually I didn't forget that at all. Just looked it up. For some reason I kept thinking that was a photo of joejets1. I'd immediately discredit his posts because of it.
Nor should they have valued him as such. Most people are pretty realistic and pragmatic about the Leon situation. The funny thing is, I heard today that Leon may be starting the next preseason game in Seattle to see if he can handle the starting job. Poor guy. He's going to get killed.
