Not sure, got back to my desk as he was on the "If I sent you out dere" rant. Hopefully someone was recording.
He is psychotic Manning did not drive for a winning touchdown He only drove down to the 33 and left too much time on the clock A TD would've cemented a victory he only got a 50 yd FG Short of an interception or a stop on 4th & Long, this was the best outcome the Jets could hope for
If you're going to give up points, then yes this is the best outcome you could hope for. But, he's saying that if the Jets were a great defense they would have stopped them and given the Jets the ball back. Manning did his job and gave his team the lead.
When Jets beat the Raiders in '01 on a 53 yard FG with no time left on the clock to get into the play-offs, Mike & Chris spent all week putting down the Jets drive, which only made it down to the Raiders 36..."it wasn't a game winning drive, it was a lucky 53 yard FG" But, whatever suits his purpose I guess
According to Tank, Peyton drove down the field for a "game winning" field goal. Who won the game Saturday, again?
but they did get a run back Mike. He always loves to discuss what other teams could have done to beat the Jets but if you reverse it and say if the jets had caught a pass...he flips...but they didn't that is a completely different thing! Catching a pass isn't the same as making a first down!
Did Brady do the job in '07 SB when he gave ball back to Giants w/enough time to score a TD? If Manning "drove" his team down to the 33 with 3 minutes left in the game, would you still think he did the job? Fact is... Jets stopped the Colts and got the ball back with plenty of time to score & win, which they did
This is a joke! Manning held to three FGs & 1 TD Do you think before the game the Colts would've thought that 16 points would've been good enough?
It's not Brady's job to stop the Giants offense, and it wasn't Manning's job to maintain their lead against the Jets.
Considering the Jets QB's performance at the end of games, having a minute left, plus 3 timeouts remaining, and knowing they have one of the best Special Teams performance in the league, and only needing 3 points to win. . . Yeah Mike, I think the defense did pat themselves on the back holding the "EARMAWTAL Peytun Manning" to a 50 yard field goal at the end of the game.
Doesn't matter... at least Brady put a TD on the board...Manning could only manage a 50 yd Fg In both instances, they left too much time on the clock... Doing the job means winning the game. They did not do the job
Yep. Perfect example was the Jets Lions game. Listen at 50 secs. to this fuckhead act as if the late hit out of bounds on LT - which was a blatant late hit - wasn't really worth calling by the refs. "Wuzz dat a vicious hit?" - the caller missed Fatty's sarcasm. And Fatty can't get the "now waitasenkd!" out of his mouth fast enough when the caller points out that Fatty never looks at the "lucky" plays the other teams made that helped them. It's impahhsable ta look at dat early roughin da kicka play! For Fatty - listen at 2.30 - all that Mattas is da last minute!!!
I have to laugh. On Sunday morning, Francesa said Colts can't use injuries as an excuse This point has evolved into "injuries are the only reason they won"
Lol @ Tank taking credit for siding with Revis. Of course he sided with Revis. Who was he going to side with? The Jets?
It's hard to believe this show comes out of NYC. He yells over and disconnects Jets caller and then lets a Colt caller go on and on (and agrees with him) that the Jets only won because of a decimated Colts team.
