and then boise rips a long run on a 3rd and 1. boise back in front. can the defense slow the running game? after boise messes up the XP, score is 26-21 boise
Boise's not choking, the Hokies just woke up. They've got one of the elite rushing attacks in the country, and Boise St. doesn't have the athletes on defense to keep up if Va Tech keeps them on the field for long stretches. Loving this game so far.
thats what the 3rd time boise has run into a receiver on an underthrown deep ball? jeez... they miss kyle wilson baaaadly. Well they can't have him back!
I wouldn't say he's doing it himself, he isn't getting much room to run, just is the one punching the scores in. Tyrod Taylor is helping out...
woow boise runs into the kicker. still fourth down, VT sends the offense back on the field, throws a quick out, receiver busts the tackle, takes it to the house. in process of going for two... and the two is no good score is 27-26. tyrod taylor injured on the two point attempt. writhing in pain on the field. looks very uncomfortable the way he bent around. boise needs to put a drive together, give the d some rest....
Williams has actually been really mediocre as a ball carrier. I know he's scored three times, but look at his YPC: 2.3
He's been hammering it into the middle of the VT defense though, which has really fatigued them and loosened things up for Taylor.
He's looked mediocre today for sure, but he's still disgusting. Everything about him reminds me of DeAngelo Williams. Dreads, name, number, playing style.
Give Tyrod Taylor the credit he deserves. Williams now has 1.6 yards per carry. Taylor is playing out of his mind.
thats for sure. But i am dissapointed in the coverage by boise state. Taylor has had lots of wide open targets to hit, and they have run that bubble screen 4-5 times, I am just waiting for somebody to step up and blow that up. Credit to taylor though, his numbers would be great against air, so props to him for finding the open guy and taking advantage. boise needs a stop to keep it interesting...
fg is good, 30-26 Va Tech. Boise needs a drive here to put the pressure back on the tech offense, and to give the defense a breather...
Boise pins tech deep with just over five minutes to go. lets see if Va tech plays it safe deep in their own territory and runs a couple dives, and punts, or if they go to the hot hand taylor and try to drive down the field for the game winning score
