He's nowhere near as horrible right now as he is during NFL games. That being said....he still is complete shit. Horrible missed PI call on UConn's last drive.
Maybe it's just me, but he always reminded me of Reggie Wayne. You can look at them and say right away what they don't have (great size/builds, top level speed) and assume they're more complimentary types, but both produce their way into top receiver roles. Both are a lot tougher than they might seem with their frames, both are incredibly intelligent, and both have a knack for big plays. Broyles willingness to run any route and ability at catch and run plays make him a very intriguing target for just about any offense. If Broyles goes to St. Louis with Bradford, he'll have 1,000 yards as a rookie, no question.
Broyles has been incredibly consistent this season. I'm interested to see what his 40 time looks like at the combine. I'd love to see a player with his kind of production go in the first round ahead of someone like Jonathan Baldwin.
I can't really see how Baldwin could go ahead of Broyles. Most of Baldwin's value exists in the fact that he's a "freak" type WR, with the size, speed and all that other good stuff. That's great and all, but there are a whole host of those guys sitting 1-5 in the rankings before someone's going to even bring up his name. If these teams need a freak wideout, they'll have their choice of Green, Blackmon, Jones, and Floyd. The longer JB slips in the 1st, the more likely it is that a team will be taking a WR to fill an immediate need, which is why an instant contributor like Broyles would be a nice target.
...and I'd take all of those guys and Broyles over Jon Baldwin. Broyles definitely deserves to go before an inconsistent player like Baldwin, but we all know certain GMs put way too much faith in size/speed.
It was only a matter of time before the Big East's representative proved they didn't belong in a BCS bowl.
Broyles caught from behind on a long punt return, and has the ball punched out. UConn ball after a 57 yard Broyles return and fumble. UConn with the ball, down 14. UConn has no business being in this game. They have virtually no passing game. stat they posted on the broadcast: in the last two games, uconn has no offensive TDs. Five field goals, one kick return TD (that was tonight), and two pick 6s (one was tonight)
Frazer usually sucks, but his receivers have been letting him down so far. I'm pretty excited though that UConn is still in the game in the 4th quarter against a National Powerhouse
He does suck, but he has had some drops tonight...and just remember he is really their 3rd string QB. The 2 ahead of him were either injured/kicked off team.
