The Gruden rumors have been intense over the past week or so, a few old Canes have said that he has some serious interest in the job. I said Hocutt wanted to make a splash and none would be bigger than that.

That would be an absolutely sick hire. I think Gruden would make an amazing college coach. South Florida seems his style. Much more over South Bend ever would have. I doubt he'd have any trouble making Miami legit again.

Goodbye TCU, thanks for the memories.

6 months ago the MWC had TCU, Boise, Utah, and BYU ready to fight the BCS. Today 3 of the 4 have sold their souls to the BCS. It makes me sick but outside of BYU TCU and Utah had no choice but to take the extra 17 million the BCS will send their way annually. No jumping through hoops to earn a bid. Playing in the BE won't give TCU an better shot at playing for a title but it will put a lot more dough in their pockets.

No Gruden for Miami, my top choice now is Dan Mullen, the only question being if he'd alter his offense a little to fit the team. Miami has traditionally been a pro style offense, and I could see Mullen figuring out a way to make things work with the wealth of quality backs the Canes have. Plus, Stephen Morris has probably as good an arm as any QB he's ever had, so I'm sure he'd create an offense to make the most out of it.

...in Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game. Me and some buddies are grabbing some lunch and getting hammered in a few.

I'm excited about getting see a talent like Cam Newton play, but just for today: fuck that guy. I feel the same way about this game that I did about Fresno/USC in 2005. Hopefully things go my way this time.

I know this game's in a dome, but there's been a severe weather warning: a heavy chance of Marcus Lattimore.

To my fellow TGGers, I hope you have a great fucking day of college football.

    Go Cocks!

I like South Carolina to pull the upset but by virtue of the garbage system we play in Auburn will still play for the national title even though South Carolina will be SEC Champs. I don't see Spurrier shit the bed this time and Cocky gets it done.

I want to see South Carolina win because of the Cam Newton situation, but I think the worst thing that could happen to this season is for either Auburn or Oregon to lose today. Auburn v Oregon is one of the most compelling BCS match-ups in its history as far as I am concerned.

as much as I enjoy rooting for the little guy, having TCU in the championship would be dreadful compared to the alternative.

Wasn't that game a snow game last year also?

And Auburn vs. Oregon would be an amazing title game

The biggest game in South Carolina history, everybody I know is watching at a house party just like the Superbowl. Except me and the wife, I'm watching at a motel in Asheville and out to see some mountain snow tomorrow. We have a 60 inch Vizeo here in the room, its real nice. 50 bucks a night, Rodeway Inn. Go Cocks!

Oh man, Cam Newton is so good.

Blackledge "If it was flag football he wouldn't have even gotten him."

This kid is special, he and Luck may go 1-2.

Auburn up 2 TDs at halftime. Oregon has their game pretty well in hand with a 17 point lead with 12 to play.

I took Oregon to cover a spread of 16.5, but I also took the Gamecocks.

What do you think about the other USC later tonight?
