^ Trolling again, ehh? Nevada takes the lead after getting solid field position. Hopefully Fresno can put a drive together.
Looks like Nevada has this one. I hated the playcalling on Fresno's last drive - you can't run the ball twice in a row like that.
Only so much can be blamed on a "high motor", he is going late on a lot of plays. He'll be able to open up a flag shop when he gets in the NFL, the NFL doesn't mess around with their late hit rule...
NFL evaluators will have to answer the question why he does that... Plus let's remember he is a bit older than other prospects so one would expect a bit more maturity coming from him. I'm not saying things can't change... he's still a 1st rd prospect... but will they be able to make him play within the rules? Yesterday he had 3 personal fouls...
Before I go any further, I'm not on a crusade to crucify Nick Fairley, I've actually been a backer of him since the Outback Bowl, but even I can see what he's doing wrong. He's at that fringe from playing nasty to playing dirty, despite not getting called for them, some of those were blatant shots. I was amazed when someone told me he had multiple personal fouls called on him in the game, you'd think they'd boot him from the game after 2. He's still a very good prospect, but the vibe I'm getting from him now makes me think he likes doing it. I'd love for him to be a Jet, but he has to get his shit together if he wants to have a productive NFL career. If he tried what he did against UGA in the NFL, his ass would be on the ground holding his knee from a chopblock.
I haven't said anything about this yet, because I think it's a pointless argument. Here's a fun fact about Nick Fairley: He's almost exactly a year younger than Ndamukong Suh. No one knocked Suh for being "old" in college.
I'm not knocking from a maturity, hell, I'm not even knocking him from a physical standpoint. All I've ever said about him being older is that he may have a bit of an advantage being closer to his prime compared to his competition. I've never put my full confidence in it either, just looking at it from a different "angle" so to speak...

Holy crap... there are rumors coming out of Hawaii that the Warriors have joined the Mountain West for football only. This came out of nowhere. http://www.kitv.com/sports/25845791/detail.html

I'm surprised to see the Dogs fired up so early against Boise. I know they haven't moved the ball at all on offense, but the defense is playing inspired football early on. ...told a few friends earlier today that I don't expect Fresno to put up much of a fight because they have nothing to play for anymore after a tough loss against Nevada next week. They never played well coming off of a close loss I hope Pat Hill proves me wrong. I stayed in tonight to watch this game.
Boise has their shit together now. It was only a matter of time - they are one of the best team's in the country. 17-0 Boise about halfway through the second.
