They'll be right on the brink of the Top 25 but probably not in. Now if they beat Pitt, WV and Cincy then I think they crack the Top 25. However the Pitt win won't look as good given Pitt's 2-3 record. WVU is #25 right now and they've had a better non conference schedule than 'Cuse with Marshall, Maryland and #15 LSU whom they almost beat down in the Bayou. Using that a basis of comparison I think 'Cuse needs to win the next 3 to be Top 25.
No, I think the world ends. In all seriousness, beating Pitt this year isn't much of an accomplishment. A win over WVU would help pus Syracuse up the polls, but don't expect much help from a win over Pitt.
When was the last time USC lost 3 in a row? Well it could happen today in the Coliseum against Cal. This 5 star laden Trojan D has struggled this year.
First offensive play of the game for Pitt and they get a 79 yd TD pass to Devin Street. 7-0 Pitt at the dome early on.
I never said starters. There's also rotational guys who play just as much as the starters. Chris Galippo case in point. He's another 5 star. Three 5 stars who play big minutes or start on their defense is as many as any team in the country not named Florida. That's alot and not to mention they have a ton of high 4 stars who are top 100 national ballplayers. It's a star studded defense whose underperformed anyway you slice it.
^ They need to, save some face. Looking at their schedule, they could easily have 5 losses this year.
They're bad against the pass. They were bad against the pass last year too. Their front seven is as good as any team in the country. Chris Galippo on the bench...case in point.
It's now obvious that you're biased against USC. I'm guessing you don't like them because they're good? Who gives a fuck? They can't play in any major bowls for a while. Who cares? That school will always bring in big time talent. ...great location, NFL-like atmosphere, and they win. That's a great formula for recruiting.
Not bias at all. Like I said in an earlier post they are no longer the dominant force that they were and those days are over. I could give two shits if they're good or not. I'm giving an honest assessment of their program. Of course they'll always be good but the dominant days under Pete Carroll are OVER and won't return while Kiffin is there. That's all I'm saying.
I thought this was 2010 College Football Season thread? Galippo backs up super talented true sophomore Devon Kennard now.
No, they're not. Southern Cal will be a damn good team for a long time. Their offense is going to be ridiculous when Matt Barkley's a senior. I wouldn't be surprised if they won a National Championship in a few years.
