Incidentally, Chase Coffman's father (Paul Coffman) was an All-Pro TE for the Packers, went to a few Pro Bowls in the early to mid 80's with Green Bay, so the Pack just drafted a legacy

TE was a good choice for GB. I was considering 3 players and Chase was one. Good job, I think he will be a solid TE, not a Pro-Bowler, but a good player and Red-Zone target.

I really wanted Brace or Barwin and would have been very pleased with either. I ended up picking Jones' replacement in Davis. Davis runs very hard and is great inside the tackles. Him and Leon could make a great duo. I strongly considered Kraig Urbik, and Jarron Gilbert.

Jabba will agree..........both of us have had many players snatched from us by the prior GM........it's all in the game and part of the Fun.

Give Wolfe and Jason heck when you catch them on-line, I'm just the messenger:)

    The Texans are done:

    1) Vontae Davis CB
    2) Shonn Greene RB
    3) Michael Hamlin, S

I'm very happy with my haul. Davis will be a replacement for FA Dunta, or at best the #2 corner with Dunta.
Shonn Greene is my thunder with Slaton as the lightning.
Michael Hamlin is a very good safety.....replacing Nick Fergerson...nuff said.

The Texan's secondary just became a Top-Notch Secondary, which was a weakness.

Davis is an interesting pick, he could actually be a sleeper even though he's from a big school and a bigtime conference in D1A and every college football fan knows who he is, but he could still be a sleeper cause he split carries, so his numbers are not as gaudy as they would have been had he carried more of the load .. and its also a good thing that he didn't carry the full load (in college) for the team that drafts him, less wear & tear

    Seattle:
    1. WR Michael Crabtree
    2. S William Moore
    3. QB Nate Davis

I think that's a solid first day. Granted, I didn't make the Crabtree or Davis picks, but Moore was good value in round 2. I would have taken Crabtree that high, and Davis was one of the guys I would have definitely thought of.

    Giants
    1. LB James Laurainitis
    2. OT Jamon Meredith
    2. WR Ramses Barden

You started off pretty good( assuming andre Smith can play in a Denver blocking system)

Next two picks there is no way Raiders are going that way. Raiders are not going OT in the first two rounds , maybe a center. (if they go oline again) Marcus Freeman does nothing for the Raiders. Raiders have more than enough Outside LBs , they are more of a need for a MLB.(let Morrison move to outside) Thomas Howard and K Morrison are four down LBs.

I've said this before, but the back to back tackle picks confused me. Also, I don't know if Andre Smith fits into the Raiders' zone blocking scheme.

Marcus Freeman is a solid choice and offers the Raiders some versatility at linebacker - they really need a strongside linebacker.

Wait a second Jeaux, the Raiders are thin at outside linebacker assuming Kirk Morrison will stay inside.

Jon Alston is a potential starter outside, but other than him the team is VERY thin. I believe Sam Williams is a free agent, and Ricky Brown has no business starting the NFL.

I will be leaving shortly, and back around 8:00 P.M. tonite. My teams are done (Browns & Texans).

Half of Rd 3 is almost complete. The draft should be completed by Thursday evening or Friday.

If someone needs to PM a board, just check with a GM on-line....Electric & Jabba have been very helpful.

    Thanks for the feedback.

From what I understand Freeman could play middle linebacker. One of the reasons I chose him is that he has the flexibility to play any linebacker position. Ohio State clearly has MLB covered forcing Freeman to play outside.

I stand by the Beatty pick. He was easily the best player available. My second choice in round two was Clay Matthews. Passing up to BAP to take Matthews would have left me in a position to pass up on the BAP with my next pick (Freeman).

I've got class from 11:30 to 12:30 and then again from 1:50 to 3:20. I'll do what I can before, in between, and after.
