Yeah, last year they went 6-2 in New Orleans. In 2007 they had problems at home, though, going 3-5. The game against the Saints will probably be tough to win.
well these are going to be great games we are going to play competitive games, and I like that we even have Cinncinatti at the end of the schedual as a saftey valve. Overall its going to be a good schedual
WTF does that even mean? The Jets had an actual NFL starting caliber QB put up points and TEN decided that they should unleash Kerry Collins instead of rely on their running game and some how that equates to the Jets having a very good chance of beating the team that let the leagues in scoring last season with liability at QB? Can the Jets win in NO?...sure Is it likely?...on April 14th...not at all.
Not happy with having to travel to play a division opponent (Buffalo) 4 days after what should be a really tough game against Carolina. Can't the Jets ever be home for one of these Thursday games?
Best Running game in the AFC. Best Run stopper (Jenkins...and this game is early on), plus a revamped Pass Rush, and this game might be close, but don't bet on it.... Jets will easily dominate T.O.P. this season. Dilfer made an excellent point in the Sked analysis. Given the makeup of this team, the Jets (excepting NE) do not face any overly complex defenses in the first 8 weeks, which will give either one of the two young QB's a very good chance (given the KNOWN makeup of the team today) a very good chance to be successful.
Thats one way to look at it. Would you rather get NE later after a returning Brady has time to get it together (do you think he will see much Preseason time) , or in week two, coming off a short week after a Monday night opener then playing against a defense they have Zero tape on?
Jets and Dolphins down here MONDAY NIGHT!!! YAH! THATS AWESOME! Wow, Thats so big. A Monday night Jets game down here, man I cant wait!!
I agree. I'm sick of home openers against the Pats. Can't the NFL change things up even a little for the Jets? Is this the third year in a row the Jets will open at home against the Pats????
that's a nice way to look at that game... I think the mindset (mine as well) is that its been a loss every time, so its a loss again. Such positive fans we are.
Russel won't be able to handle pressure, he never could. The Jets didn't know how to apply it last year.
