I have a feeling we arent going to see his typical slow start this season. Between fine tuning his swing this spring training and the patience he has shown at the plate, he might be a .300+ hitter.
Wow, one extreme to the other. Oriole fans are talking about pennants, then the Sox fan says they cannot win more than 70 games. I love baseball season.
same fucking shit as last year...runner on fucking third and noone out and he sits there like a cunt......
The team has no heart. It's just a stockpile of high dollar players. Until that changes,it will be the same shit every year.
Because it is just two games, and every team in the major leagues sucks for two games several times every year. Most teams suck for three games in a row several times. Some teams (even good ones) will look awful for four, five, or six in a row. It happens. These just happen to be the first two games of the season after six months without baseball, so people are going to put more emphasis on these games, even though they don't mean any more than any other two games. Now, could it turn out that the Yanks just suck and go 60-102 this year? Um... sure. I guess. I wouldn't bet on it, though. ETA: Don't get me wrong. It sucks to watch games like this, especially after thinking/hoping/expecting the team to look better than they have. But it's unlikely that it will last. If, say, the Yanks started off 10-0 and then lost two games in a row looking like this, no one would be saying everything, because they would have already seen the success. Right now, people feel like they haven't seen it yet. But they will. It's a very safe bet.
aiiight cappy talked me off the ledge.....its not the losing though. Like I said before, we look like we're losing the same way we lost last year...I know I know, two games
