Everybody was in the concourses walking around checking out the place. I just got back. Left after the rain delay. Had been there since the gate opened at 3:40, so saw what I was gonna see. Place is beautiful. Even the outfield upper deck seats you feel like you're right on top of the field. It's amazing.
Mushniks column today was talking about how there are a lot of obstructed view seats at Cit field...lots of callers saying the same thing on boomer and carton the last couple days too.....funny isnt it? Kind of ironic....hahahaha...and you dont have to bother respond by telling me they dont exist....bwahhahahah
Then those people should call the Mets and ask for a refund. Where I was sitting tonight (411) and where my Opening day seats are (312) I didn't have anything I'd call an obstruction. There is a railing and plexiglass in spots, but if people want to call those "obstructed" seats they're retards. The only seats that looked like they would have an issue is the promenade 500 levels past the 1st and 3rd base lines where there are stairs instead of portals. If you're sitting rows 1 and 2 on the ends you have people walking up the steps in your field of view.
we already know about Yankee stadium....I was talking about CITIFIELD....obstructed seats at Citi field
http://sectionsix.metsblog.com/blog/_archives/2009/2/19/4098371.html The simple solution to this: stand up and quit bitching.
dude I agree. I dont think the seats are a big deal at all. The only reason I posted is because davecrazy, not one of the best Met posters as we all know, spent half the off season posting in the yankee thread about obstructed view seats...and how ridiculous...and what a bunch of morons blah blah blah.......
Yeah... I clapped for him, although I was sitting in the LF Promenade and it probably made no difference.
I went to the game today and I gotta say that Citi Field is fucking awesome. Beautiful stadium- looks like a west coast stadium. 100X better than Shea. Only complaint is that it's tough to walk around - not enough room to accomodate all the people. But it's superior in every other way.
My wife and I went to Citi Field today, compliments of Kevin Burkhardt, the Mets on-field reporter. Kevin is a personal friend of mine in central Jersey. If you run into him at Citi, mention my name - Joe Weiskopf, and he will get you on the field if you are interested. Mention Pine Belt Chevrolet and he will probably get you in the clubhouse ( thats an inside joke). Kevin took my wife and I in the clubhouse very early although we were not authorized and Wright, Church and Putz were very friendly and awesome. The sightlines and food are great. Stadium is beautiful.
did perez really get booed off the field in a spring training game? mets fans have really lost their minds after the past few seasons.
