C'mon...you're acting like a...kid. Leonard Weaver: the next Lorenzo Neal? Really? Weaver is an over-sized running back. He's a rushing fullback, not a blocker. Neal was an awesome running back at Fresno State, and came into this league as a halfback. Neal knows the position. If he wouldn't have broken his leg as a rookie, he may have been a solid NFL RB. Weaver is a converted tight end/linebacker. They aren't the same type of player...at all. Ray Lewis has been in the league for 14 years, I'd take him in a heartbeat. James Farrior knows the 3-4 and he's a solid veteran. He'd be a nice, inexpensive replacement if we cut Eric Barton. Who knows, maybe he wants to finish his career with the Jets? Lastly, I'm ALWAYS on point. Make a realistic thread, and I'll give you realistic feedback. Don't you have some film to go break down? I mean, you did say it's what makes you so much smarter than the average, peasant posters on this meaningless fan site. Right?
Or you just make a logical assumption that they weren't happy to bring in Law because he's a selfish locker room cancer and it had nothing to do with Dwight Lowery... then again you have some kind of man-love for the CB who led the NFL in TDs allowed this year...
not man love. i just feel that dwight lowery can play in the 3-4. he's clearly suited for a tampa 2. but i like his play nonetheless. darrelle revis is my favorite corner out of college hands down, but dwight lowery doesnt get enough credit that he was leading the league in pass deflections, as did Revis did his rookie year, except Lowery was pulled in Week 12, and led the team in forced fumbles. and he didnt play for the last 4 games. he will be starting on day one.
Yeah well any DB can play in the 3-4 or the 4-3. What matters in the secondary is whether it's zone or man coverage. Lowery cannot play man coverage; RR uses man-coverage. Do the math.
