you can still get the info on the players through a google search of their name and add nfl draft scout. Scout.com is another good site though not as detailed
"move over Shaun" ??? ...Ray Rice to Seattle? I guess it's a good value pick, but why would they select a running back? They signed Julius Jones and TJ Duckett in the off-season.
TJ Duckett sucks I wouldnt be surprised if they did do this draft pick they wouldnt cut Duckett I dont think they signed him to a contract that would hurt them if they did
Yeh I know, thats one was really detailed, it was a great site to use during the live draft, but I will find something else, Thanks for the suggestions
I was hoping to get Ray for CHI up coming so I am dissapointed but thats an ehh pick for seattle considering the contract they gave to both Duckett and Jones in the offseason. I really dont get the pick at all, especially with the big need at WR for Seattle and how someone is still available that I like alot at WR. Especially when their 2nd best WR Hackett left, Seattle will defintely look to get themselves a WR to pair with Branch as Burleson seems to be used as a strict special teamer or slot receiver. Rice can play though, he may be that next MJD type of player who studs out as a 3rd rd pick. Just idk if Seattle is the right place.
The Bennett pick may seem a bit overdo with the WR spot but trust me the Bears WRs are nothing great at all, Hester is the 4th-5th WR currently for crying out loud following Brandon Lloyd. I think he will be going in round 2 so to get him near the end of day 1 is sweet.
Not a big fan of the Nelson to Jaguars, although he seems like a natural fit because of their WR drafting history They need some guys with speed, not just giants who out-muscle for the ball. I like Nelson for many teams, just not Jacksonville But who knows he could bring a work-ethic to underachievers such as Matt "I am sure glad the Jets didn't take him" Jones
I don't put any faith in Alexander or Duckett and Jones has never carried a full load. In my opinion this is as much a need as Wide Receiver and there were a number of Wide Receivers available that I liked but not many Running Backs. I am confident I can still find a solid WR with my next pick. Also I look at Hassellbeck as more of a "Tom Brady" type QB who doesn't need a star WR due to his ability to distribute the ball. Honestly, they have never had a stud receiver with Hassellbeck so I think I can fill the spot with solid role players with defined skills and let the QB work with them.
I wanted Duane Brown but he went the pick just before me. Rubin has prototypical 3-4 NT size and could wind up being better than Ratliff or Tank who only has one more year on his contract.
Duane Brown is a good pick, but I am baffled that Rubin was still available. He was the other player I looked hard at with my last Seattle pick but I couldn't justify taking the two DTs with other positions of need staring me in the face with Rice and Bennett and others.
Rubin and Harrison were neck and neck for me but I figured that Rubin is an NT and I was looking for a rusher or 3-Technique
I remember so many Jet Fans on this board wanted us to draft Jones. I was one of the few who wanted to stay far away from Mr. Jones. The Hype machine was at full blast making Jones the next great HOF WR. Never draft a player in Rd 1 to play another positon.......huge error.
LOL!! No doubt, GH, I had a full blown man-crush on Matt Jones I think I even Gave him a catchy nickname ... the white machine!
I know people will think Donald Thomas was a reach, but its not, this player is a lot more highly regarded than many of the gurus have illustrated .. he's been advised that he'll be a 2nd or 3rd RD Pick and I believe that projection is accurate I watched him play a few times last year, being a fan of the big east, and this dude was like a man amongst boys, just blowing people off the line of scrimmage with ease, excellent pulling Guard too .. and he's a rock solid 6' 4"/305 Pounder If this player went to USC and not UCONN, I'm sure you'd know a lot more about him, he wouldn't be such a secret
