Woops, I thought this was a thread on Darren McFadden's 2008 season. Well, since i'm here ... I predict he will tear his ACL by week 6, by that point he will have amassed a grand total of 225 yards rushing and 1 receiving TD. I also predict that he will father a child with Kim Kardashian and another with Star Jones.
Im gonna give out two predictions. First one is more of an optimistic prediction whereas second one is a pessimitic one. Week 1: @ Miami WIN Week 2: vs. New England LOSS Week 3: @ San Diego (Monday Night) LOSS Week 4: vs. Arizona WIN Week 5: Bye Week 6: vs. Cincinnati WIN Week 7: @ Oakland WIN Week 8: vs. Kansas City WIN Week 9: @ Buffalo WIN Week 10: vs. St. Louis WIN Week 11: @ New England LOSS (as much as I hope to change this one, I dont thinks its happening in 2008) Week 12: @ Tennessee WIN Week 13: vs. Denver LOSS Week 14: @ San Francisco WIN Week 15: vs. Buffalo WIN Week 16: @ Seattle WIN Week 17: vs. Miami WIN 12-4. Second in AFC East but 4th in AFC. A loss to Pats/Colts in AFC Champ. Now for a more realistic view or the pessimistic view... Week 1: @ Miami WIN Week 2: vs. New England LOSS Week 3: @ San Diego (Monday Night) LOSS Week 4: vs. Arizona WIN Week 5: Bye Week 6: vs. Cincinnati LOSS Week 7: @ Oakland WIN Week 8: vs. Kansas City WIN Week 9: @ Buffalo LOSS Week 10: vs. St. Louis LOSS Week 11: @ New England LOSS Week 12: @ Tennessee WIN Week 13: vs. Denver LOSS Week 14: @ San Francisco WIN Week 15: vs. Buffalo WIN Week 16: @ Seattle LOSS Week 17: vs. Miami WIN 8-8 = no where near the playoffs in AFC atleast. However, we can easily make that win total to 9 by beating the Bills twice. 9-7 = a shot at wild card.
Week1:W -- Win against Miami, what else is new... they won't be prepared week 1 like us... too many holes on that new team. Week2:L -- We are not beating the Pats this year, sorry. Week3:L -- Chargers are too good, and the Jets have to travel all the way out there. Loss Week4:L -- Traveling all the way home on a shorter week while Arizona just finishes playing in Washington makes them less groggy, just one of those games. Week5:Bye -- Time to fix what may be wrong, saw good enough teams to judge where problems are... Week6:W --- Mangini is very good coming off the Bye week... Cincy has no chance, revenge from last year. Week7:W -- This may be an overtime win. Playing in Oakland is not the Jets strong suit and they will be ready to play. Stop the run, embarrass them on special teams- Win. Week8:W --- KC just blows. Win Week9:L --- Good ole Buffalo loss, also due for a beating coming back all the way from Oakland. Week10:W --- STL will hiccup playing us, a game that many will say we should have loss. Something weird happens where we get a win... Brad Smith Passing TD? Week11:L -- 3 days to prepare for the Pats??... What was the NFL thinking? Week12:W --- With what felt like another Bye week, TEN has no match for the long preparation that we had for them. VY blows. Week13:W -- Denver just doesn't bring their A game... Faneca gets revenge on D Rob as TJ and LW run for over 120 yrds. Week14:L --- Fluke loss, its the travel-- its killing what could have been a 11-5 season. Week15:W -- Buffalo splits with us, we've seen this before Week16:L -- We won't win here ever, maybe once in 50 games. Week17:W-- Miami almost beats us, but we are at home.... Henne has a good enough game for us to worry about him next year- and the years to come. 9-7...Good year to build on...
Miami - win Miami - win Oak - win the other 13 are toss ups so i'll take 7 of them, plus the 3 above = 10-6 season, wc
We are not betting. Its just predictions. Besides, is there a QB on the roster that would make a huge huge difference such as Brady and Kessel? I mean we have Clemens and Pennington. I rank CP just an inch above KC.
I think we take NE @ home this year ....the house is gonna be rocking and Brady will feel the heat!!!
Well there's no question about how to upset Brady at this point, given the path the Giants took to their super Bowl win last year. Hit him early, hit him hard and hit him often. That's how you turn Tom Brady into a pretty normal QB in a hurry. Just once I want to see him crying to his offensive line after a few series against the Jets. I've seen it against the Steelers and the Giants.
JUst tell me who do Jets have to cover MCfadden coming out of backfield. Gholston ? Pace? Barton? Harris? GEt real . Jets don't have any weapons on offense that can hurt the Raiders.
Pre -Season games are designed to do 2 things, bring in revenue to the misperceptions that fans will see their favorite player in some semblance of a precursor to the season or "semi " meaningful game. The second purpose is to evaluate talent, roster positions, etc., the play calling is vanilla, and the games mean NOTHING related to the regular season..... imho
Who's gonna stop McFadden from fumbling? Actually, who do the Raiders have on offense that can hurt the Jets? JR? DMC? Walker? Wow...Jemarcus was shitty last yr. DMC is doubtful and Walker? Are you kidding me? Revis will take care of that chump. Jenkins n Pace will take care of DMC and JR and I havent even mentioned Rhodes and Harris yet. Jets offense? Well lets see. The only chance of you guys reaching the QB is from the right side of the OL, the visible side of the QB. Coles and Cotchery will raid your sorry a$$ and Leon will take it to the house twice on returns and once on the ground. And I have'nt even mentioned Keller yet (mainly cuz he's a rookie actually) .... Chills bro....
Week 1: @ Miami... W Week 2: vs. New England... L Week 3: @ San Diego (Monday Night)... L Week 4: vs. Arizona... L Week 5: Bye Week 6: vs. Cincinnati... W Week 7: @ Oakland... W Week 8: vs. Kansas City... W Week 9: @ Buffalo... W Week 10: vs. St. Louis... W Week 11: @ New England... L Week 12: @ Tennessee... W Week 13: vs. Denver... W Week 14: @ San Francisco... W Week 15: vs. Buffalo... L Week 16: @ Seattle... L Week 17: vs. Miami... W 10-6... the schedule is ridiculously easy, similar to '06. We'll fight for a Wild Card birth
Yea just like last year prediction of Jets going 12-4 ? Jets superbowl is if they can win eight games next year.
