i thought it was hard being a leafs and Jets fan, but being a Mets and Jets fan and seeing this happen must just be awful.

What a collapse man....the Bills did it midseason, but doing it now is more heartbreaking.

Unreal. I am sorry, but when one group of players can look like 3 different teams in the same season, it shouldn't be tough to figure our where the problem is.

You're all cowards. All of you.

You have been found guilty of violating section 899 article 99 and section 900 article 100 of the UCMJ.

Does it really change the fact that nobody gives a fuck about Boston?

Look, they're having their day in the sun. That's fantastic. At the end of the day, really, nobody gives a shit. Your city is fucking insignificant and there are at least five other places in the USA where everybody wants to go before they ever set in foot in the general New England area.

Actually it's not officially over. We still have a shot at the playoffs. You never know, the Pats or the Ravens could easily still lose. Not putting all my hope on it but still

Start 8-3 then lose 5 straight?

How do you start 8 - 3 and lose five straight?

You may be saying we won the Buffalo game and haven't played the Dolphins yet. However, Buffalo clearly gave that game away. Does anyone believe we can beat the Dolphins and send NE to the playoffs? (NE does not choke against weak teams)

SF, Buffalo, Seattle, all out of the playoffs when we played them. Its just pathetic. How can the coaching staff not be fired?

I didn't know we were 8-8...... we beat the Bills, so its a win. Can't spin it if its a win in the column.

this team has a lot of talent. If they keep the 3-4 and just find guys to fill in for the ones getting old when its time, they can stay a 10 win team for a long time.... its all in the coaching.

If they go to a 4-3, it will be another rebuilding period.

What 3-4 coaches are out there right now?

Bill Cowher? Dan Snyder has deeper pockets than Woody and has shown more of a willingness to use them, regardless of common sense. Even if we could lure him over here, he's going to want a lot of pull in the FO like he had with the Steelers and given a) the fact that Tanny has done a very good job and b) how little Cowher was willing to work with Tom Donnahoe in Pittsburgh it's unlikely he'd come here w/o shaking up the entire FO.

I can't really think of any others worth looking at right now but if you can suggest a few I'd love to hear them.

bring Rex Ryan here. Marvis Lewis as his DC, and Jim Fassel as the OC.

    Thats my little dream braintrust.

They all have worked together, and the coordinators been HCs. The position coaches wouldn't even have to change on this team, unless there are better secondary and WR coaches out there right now.

He're's the problems I have with that one

    1) Fassel as OC: I think Callahan would be a better choice for OC considering the running game he's built here, the fact that we don't have a franchise QB right now (come on, Ratliff!!!), and the fact that he's already on staff and knows the players.

    2) Marvin Lewis: The Bengals defense has been absolutely terrible during his tenure and he's a 4-3 coach so that would either set the defense into rebuilding mode or force him out of what he knows. Granted, Brown hasn't given him much help on the personnel side but it can't just be the players. He's only coached LBs in a 3-4, he has yet to be asked to coordinate it. Good coach, wrong team.

I can't find much fault in Rex Ryan. He's put together a top-notch defense and even got Ray Lewis to shut up about switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4. I just don't really know too much about him aside from that.
