You guys are missing McKnight from ND who was the top WR for ND before he got hurt. He should be better than Stovall was last year.
Im starting to second guess myself. Should Mike Hart be on the list? Hes a hair undersized but along with Kenny Irons hes one of my favorite 2nd tier backs
I saw the Larry Johnson-Adrian Peterson comparison a few posts ago here. You know who Peterson reminds me of? O.J. Simpson. The way Peterson can glide and knife his way through defenders is very Simpson-ish.
Yeah, but the reason why he said hes gonna stay all 4 years is because he promised his mom he would get a college degree(something along those lines) and you know you cant break a promise to your momma.
awesome list. I love reading things like this. I agree with alot of it except I think Ginn doesnt compare well to Smith(Smith is way more physical) and Calvin Johnson compares much more favorably to Andre Johnson. Only thing is we havent seen Andre Johnsons full potential(no time to throw the ball to him). Now i wait patiently to see the Defensive comparisons, thanks
My RB comparisons differ a bit... Adrian Peterson (JR)- kind of a player unto his own, but I guess Larry Johnson would be the closest fit Marshawn Lynch (JR)- Tiki Barber Michael Bush (SR)- Brandon Jacobs Alley Broussard (JR)- LenDale White Kenny Irons (SR)- Willie Parker Garrett Wolfe (JR)- Darren Sproles
Im gonna start posting my top 10 rankings per position, with RBs coming first, this weekend. With in-depth analysis!!
interesting how you say, "knife his way through defenders" when comparing peterson to OJ SIMPSON!! LOL
My bigtime WR Sleeper right here: Junior Taylor, WR UCLA. Big time skills, but missed all of last year (what would have been his senior year) with an injury. If he were in that UCLA offense, they'd have had a serious shot at beating SC, or at least just having 1 loss.
Finally someone else I'm on the same page with here haha. No one, and I mean no one, not even anyone at this school, really knows what ND has in McKnight. If he comes back from his injury, he WILL be a great player for ND and will out perform Samardzija this season. McKnight is an excellent route runner with very good speed and good hands. He didn't flourish under Willingham's offense (no one did) because frankly, Willingham's offense was a joke. Under Weis' system, as long as he's healthy, he's going to excel and might make himself a 1st round pick this season.
My top 5 offensive players: 1) Brady Quinn, QB Notre Dame 2) Adrian Peterson, RB Oklahoma 3) Brian Brohm, QB Louisville 4) Calvin Johnson, WR Georgia Tech 5) Michael Bush, RB Louisville HM: Kenny Irons, Joe Thomas, Ted Ginn Jr.
