Exactly, Ive been saying that for months. He's gonna get the starting gig, but he's gonna be like Eli Manning when he first started. It wont be a pretty season. If they build well in the next few rounds... he may survive the first season.
Russell should not play at all until December 2007 at the earliest. He needs to sit like Carson Palmer and Daunte Culpepper to name just two QBs who were better served to learn than be thrown to the wolves. The Raiders have a nice tackling dummy in Andrew Walter to use while Russell learns and the line develops into something that is not horrible.
Cal Johnson gets picked. Bucs take Gaines Adams. We wait until the end of Day 1, and by that time, ESPN heads will have informed us about an the impending trade.
I honestly want the Raiders to draft skill positions with the rest of their picks and completely ignore their OL so I can laugh for seventeen weeks straight.
Hey, this is the best fit at QB for a guy who has to play behind Oakland's O-Line... He has a better chance of sticking there than Quinn IMO. I'm not saying that he's the better QB necessarily, but he's the better fit.
On a side note, why is the ESPN ticker listing our "Key Loss" as Patrick Ramsey? Why not give us some props and just say None?
I agree. His athleticism will cover their giant OL deficiencies, since he can break tackles and scramble at least a little bit. Quinn would get killed back there like Ken O'Brien for a couple of years since he can't move well
I wish it was 10 minutes instead of 15, with all the scouting that goes on it would not be unreasonable
It's a great gimmick but it just serves to piss me off because they don't sell those. Completely unrealistic. Bah. I want a 30' inflatable team character!
