Gotcha. Thanks. Going to be interesting to see how the pitching shakes out the next game or two, and who the first guys out of the bullpen will be.

If Wang can give us 5 or 6 good innings I really like our chances tonight.

It's good to have Wang on the mound at home. I really pray that he can give us a long appearance, and we don't need to worry about the pen. These bats have to carry over from last starting in the first though. No warmup time allowed.

As for last night, I applaud how Joe handled it. The fact is, we had to win last night, or there would be no tonight to worry about. Sometimes you have to play every game like it's the last one, and that time is right now.

Yes, both Hughes and Joba could be seen to have been used incorrectly. That's okay with me though. Honestly, had Farnsworth come in, and had the bases loaded, the crowd would have died. We had home field yesterday, and Joe made sure we kept it.

I'm pretty sure all the rules for the kids are out the window right now. If Hughes is needed, he'll pitch. If Joba is needed, he'll pitch. There's no looking ahead anymore like there is during the regular season.

If Joe doesn't use of the kids when the situation presents itself, then he deserves for George to make good on his threat.

Right now, there is no tomorrow!

I really think they will. It took 2 1/2 games for them to recover from the long layoff. Some will say it was the pitching and it may have been with Carmona but Sabathia and Westbrook could have definitely been hit early if we were ready to play. It took until the third time through the rotation last night but they finally came alive and I think we will see them alive from the first inning on tonight. Of course it pains me to no end that if we win we have another day off tomorrow.

Jeter is the only one with good career numbers against Byrd. He needs to step it up tonight.

I feel the same. If the game got out of hand they would let game 4 slide and just use Carmona at home for game 5.

Couldn't disagree more, I mean as an Indians fan you'd really rather see Paul Byrd out there then Sabathia on 3 days rest? Since Carmona would be pitching on normal rest in game 5 anyway it's not like they're mortgaging their chances in game 5 by starting Sabathia on short rest.

That's exactly how I see it. I'm more scared of Carmona than Sabathia at this point. Facing him in Game 5 is a difficult task. But the options here are really one sided. You're going to have either Sabathia or Carmona going in Game 5 either way, which you can't go wrong with. And in Game 4, you can either pitch Sabathia (on 3 days rest), or a pedestrian Paul Byrd. It seems simple to me.

Villone and not Kennedy? He must be hurt. That leaves us stuck with him until at least the WS if we get that far.

no it doesnt. We can change Villone (or anyone) for Kennedy between the ALDS and the ALCS if we advance. The only thing is that Clemens is not allowed to be on the ALCS roster

is that because we dropped him off the roster during the ALCS....some sort of way to discourage dropping players off the ALCS rosters?

the new rule is that you can switch a player out in the middle of a series because of injury, but that player is not allowed to be on the next series' roster.
