yeah kind of like a Shaun Ellis kind of player, when Ellis had Abraham on the other side Ellis put up great sack numbers. Up until this year Ellis never had more than 5 sacks without Abraham
Shaun Ellis had 12.5 sacks in 2003, John Abraham played 7 games that year. In 2004 Ellis had 11 sacks, 6.5 coming in the last 4 games when Abraham was hurt and not playing.
That can be attributed to the 3-4 switch. Ellis really only had one bad season (2005) where he went from back to back 10+ sacks to a miniscule 2. Then the next yr Mangini arrived and moved to the 3-4. Abraham and Ellis were a sick tandem though.
