Curteye, you know you are being very optimistic about that record. You also have to throw upsets in there the other way, Lions beating us and Dolphins sweeping. I think like last year the first game will be very telling. We really have no idea what we are putting on the field in terms of ability- we didn't last year, even though we all thought we did. Another thing, that sweet home schedule, starting with the Patriots, oh yeah, I'll be there!
Look for Mr. Mawae to be fired up and at least one scuffle between him and Sean Ellis. They always fought in training camp and the blood will be boiling!
haha, you got the tix! you lucky dog! yeah, you're right. like i said, it's too early to tell. but half of these teams aren't very good -- actually weren't very good. currently, my expectation level is pretty low, but i wouldn't be shocked to get 8 wins. cheers
This schedule doesn't look all that bad. When we have to face the Pats and the Dolphins for the first time, we face them in our house, not theirs. The crowd is gonna really be up for that first Pats game. An dif we have to face the Colts, at least that's a home game too. Hope the weather is really lousy that day. I like where the Bye is too... right where you need it the most... in the middle of the season.
This really is a soft schedule, Im happy with it. Plus I get to watch my Jets on Christmas Night. Im excited.
Exactly why we need to draft a QB this year, while we have a high enough single pick. With this schedule, we have a good chance of going 9-7, which doesn't give us a very high pick next year at all. Then we're in a position to have to bundle to move up. Take the QB this year with the one single pick and bite the bullet.
Don't like 3 of the last 5 on the road. I don't think you can legitimately say it's going to be an easy or a hard schedule at this point. Lions and Texans won't be great, but they won't be as bad as they have been; Colts and Pats may slip back a bit. Bears, Jags are tough on the D side of the ball. Bills probably taking a step back, Phins a step up.
I say 8-8 will be the best we do with wins against: Miami and Buffalo at home, in Tennessee Detroit at home in Cleveland Texans and Raiders at home in Green bay.
did everyone hear how they're waiting to schedule the last 7/8 Sunday Night games - right around the Playoff hunt - to ensure the games are good... i think that's a very wise decision, a long time coming. i'm already very excited for this season. cheers
