The guy doesn't have a great receiver like some teams do. That's all he's missing. Give him an Owens, or a Moss. or a Harrison, or a Holt, or even a Smith, and see what he can accomplish. The guy needs playmakers, and not inconsistent receivers who let the team down every other week. He's got balls, and brains to match. All he needs is playmakers. We'll see that if he ever gets one.

I know some thought, and think he's all done, and so did I, but with the OL we had last year even someone like Manning would have looked bad, and gotten hurt. I just hope the OL gets better real quick.

wow, all the clowns put on my ignore list are being quoted in this thread...that really sucks....so i was kinda forced into reading their input

Clemens is a ROOKIE...he needs time to develope into a NFL level QB...what he has done so far is enough for me to say he has great potential and I personally beleive he will be a good QB at least, in the near future. Maybe about 2-3 years just like chad, sitting on the pine picking out splinters...people who judge him from game to game saying hes the future one minute then the next minute say hes a waste of a 2nd round pick are clueless...NFL QB's dont develope overnight..

I was disappointed as well with what I saw in Clemens winston, but its ridiculously early in this mans career....he wont get any bigger, but his pocket presence was right in line with a guy who was playin in his first pre season

While I agree we aren't winning a SB with Pennington, until Ramsey shows that he is capable of running the O, Pennington is the best we have at the moment. Fortunately for Pennington the league isn't that great and we only face a few big time defensive teams. Those teams will feast on him, the others he should be adequate enough against.

Keep in mind that Palmer was in his second season when he started against the Jets. Also, Palmer was a high first round pick and Clemens a second rounder. Clemens has more ground to make up to get to that elite status. I'm not saying Clemens will ever be a star, but I think it takes more than one training camp to pass long term judgement.
