I love this pick, we have a deep defensive line. There are still some nice players left that can fill needs so I'm not worried.
I watched 95% of the Syracuse games this year. Jones in the games he played was good not great. You never heard them saying his name on many plays and he played against the BE. He also didn't have a monster season in 2011 after the talent around him fell from that 2010 Cuse defense (granted he was hurt). Also, to LTJ probably true but Coples was projected top 10 for most of the mock process while Jones just got into the first round recently. I am sure there is a reason for that.

I don't like that we spent the 16th pick on a guy who is going to have to compete for a starting job. Now, granted he could very well win the starting job, but at 16 I want someone who can step in right away and play.

This defense is going to be special.... You have 3 Very good corners, A ton of Dlinemen (with height and wingspan) And Maybin.
It's not a turnaround, it's still encompassing everything I dislike about the pick. Tons and tons of potential with a motor/passion problem.
I LOVE all the draft experts on this site.... LAUGHABLE. Couples was the best available and has a ceiling to be elite. Some of you are outta your minds.

Yeah, it's utterly hilarious how the dark siders are against everything the Jets ever do. It was a great pick, he's better for our system than Ingram would be.
