My buddy used to be able to get us into Lakehurst Naval Air Base to play golf and we would always eat at that place. Nothing like loading up on greasy diner food before heading out for a round of 18. Then of course one of my personal favs was Ocean Queen where 70 and 88 intersect in Brick, we used to take a lot of trips to Philly when I was a kid so we would always eat at the Red Lion somewhere out in the middle of the corn fields in Central Jersey
Thats the one across from the Rainbow diner right? never been there, but been to the rainbow. RED LION, yes that is by far the best diner ive ever been to. Thats at the 206 circle, Go there everytime I go to ATCO. you order your food and its like a damn cartoon as soon as the door swings shut she walks back out again with your food and its incredible. Damn, im gettin hungry now lol time for a lunch break.
Yeah, the Rainbow Diner I think used to be called the Laurelton Diner, my uncle is in Brick so everytime I come home we hit up a Blueclaws game and then go to the Rainbow or Ocean Queen. Haha, can't believe you know the Red Lion. So your in Bayville? Is Blackbeard's Cave still open? I used to go on the bumper boats there.
Heck yea, mang. they got an outside bar now to called the FUBAR during the summer and they got bands sometimes, and then its a short trot to the go karts and cages.
LMAO! Ocean Queen is better food than Rainbow for sure, but I've had two drunken experiences in Rainbow that made it very enjoyable. One escapade in the Queen was cause Rainbow was closed. I felt like Rodney Dangerfield in Easy Money. When we pulled up to Rainbow, all the lights shut off. Ahhh good times. And if your awake early enough for good breakfast, may I recommend Benny's on Mantoloking.
My family has a shore house in Toms River and I'm jotting this all down. Also, I've worked 10 minutes away (intersection of 38 and 206) from Red Lion circle for a few years now and haven't been to that diner, sounds like I'm missing out.
Yea, its called Deathrite now, even though the guy is stable and they caught the other guy. Idiot was walkin around town like he wasnt gonna get caught. Idiot. As for the family of pedestrians that got hit out front, I havent heard anything but hearsay but I believe the kid died. Crazy friday indeed.
Soon as I seen the slate I thought this was a good choice, still warm, good game and I am 3 & 0 on Monday nighters! Maybe someone can pull a poll together to get everyones view- guess it looks like I'm in! Jonnyd- I can't stand another 6 months of your procrastination.
Can't wait. Chris' memory is most important. I'll be at whatever game is picked, this time, for the whole time. I'm going to give my regular tailgate a break for a game. If it's the Texans game, then all the better, I'm off that day anyway. Gentlemen (...and JetsBabe), let's try to fill that jug again.
Let's just try to outdo last year, if that's possible. It's not going to be interesting at all. Just fun. And, hopefully, a win this time.
